Holy coldness batman...

Beer #2...

Pool thought of the day. How much difference will now having my black kamui tip shaped vs being totally flat affect my game? I think its usually the indian, NOT the arrow...still probably will help say 1 ball with confidence and less miscue factor? Assume a soso stroke.....

I'm on beer #3, we seem to have the same agenda today, I just tuned my tip and about to go pound a few into the rail. When I service my tip I tend to have a little more confidence, it last about 5 minutes or so.

Supposed to be -5 tonight where I live...we have a Fridge outside on the back porch that we we stock Adult Beverages in--Asked the Wife if she thought I should put one of our small electric heaters in there tonight,,just to make sure the beer doesn't Freeze....
She Looked At Me Strangely

Heck yeah....just now starting on beer #3. Got $50 on the Chargers +6.5 so motivation to keep the booze flowing inside. I also have tomorrow off of work. Here is my random animal workout video of the day. I plan to hit balls after a couple more beers (around 5-6) to test out the new tips...stay tuned.

Might be worth a video, John -- perhaps using a thermometer to display the temp, before and after?

-Sean <-- just an idea

Might do that. Might just leave the case outside. Just a $1500 experiment.

Right now its still only 23 degrees here. Need it to be colder.

Yep, about the same here in Z-Hills, but supposed to go into the teens Tuesday. Near deadly to us floridians :)
Won't that kill the palm trees?! :D

No beer, but I have been hitting some balls... Football @ 3:30.

Its a good question...how cold would be appropriate to test that hypothesis? What low temperature starts to affect wood being exposed for a while?

I have to work tomorrow, I'm so far behind because of the holidays I think I'm first. So I'll be shutting her down before dinner. I took a break from playing the 3-ball ghost tied at 5 to regroup. I wouldn't mind sweating a bit of the game, can I have half your bet :-)

3 ball ghost tied at 5?? Do you take ball and hand after the break? We need to work on the fundys if you aren't beating that brotha!

Post

I drove to and from Chicago o'hare via 88 yesterday and was driving at 40 mph or less with blizzard road conditions, couldn't pass anyone because of the blinding of the snow being blowen around in such turbulent wind.

-
It's 7 degrees here now without the windchill factor, it's going to be -15 tonight " without the windchill factored in, so yeah' it's cold enough here to freeze the balls off a pool table!

Here's a alert I just received
Snow and blowing snow over portions of the area to give way to life threatening cold conditions later today.

Bitterly cold Arctic air will surge into the region today and combine with winds of 20 to 35 mph to bring wind chills of 20 to 30 degrees below zero this afternoon. A reinforcing shot of Arctic air will arrive later this afternoon and bring life threatening cold wind chills of 35 to 55 below tonight and Monday.

Addition, low pressure tracking into the Ohio Valley will continue to produce snow across extreme Northeast Missouri, Southeast Iowa and western Illinois into this afternoon. North winds gusting over 30 mph will also cause considerable blowing and drifting snow with drifts several feet deep. Travel is not recommended in bureau and Putnam counties.

Wind Chill Warning remains in effect until noon CST Tuesday.

Timing: This afternoon through Tuesday morning. Lowest wind chill values will be tonight through Monday night.
Wind Chill readings, lowering to between 20 below and 30 below zero this afternoon, then as low as 30 below to 45 below zero early Monday morning.
Temperatures: single digits and teens during the day, then lowering to near 19 below zero overnight and remaining below zero through Tuesday morning.
Winds: northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Impacts: bitter cold temperatures and strong winds will create life threatening Conditions.

Be safe.

I just threw that in there to keep it pool related, I'd be doing what SD is doing to Cincy right now playing the 3-ghost, I say this cause the game isn't over.

Oh and #3 is in the recycle bin.

Fishless, the Inuits are a tough bunch.

I had a group of them from the RCMP Academy, similar temps and they had on nylon wind breakers.

But, they do wear seal skin clothing. I imagine that is pretty warm.

Hunting in the Fall, sometimes a person has to do their biz out doors, thats not bad.
I can't imagine pulling down your drawers in minus 50.

No, I didn't go fishing, I have my limits. Instead, I thawed a frozen water pipe.

Just realized that I don't have any beer so will have to venture out anyway.

The good part is, a can in the snow bank is cold in approx 10 minutes.

The truck will be warming up for an hr tho.

andddd time for some pool...I leave you with this for a bit. Shoot well today boys and girls...

Right around my 4th, I gain the confidence and focus of a Navy Seal go take care of business. The good news if you should happen to lose, just lie.

I'll never forget my first morning we had roughly 150 yards from the residence (where we stayed) to the RCMP dispatch. Picture all decked out in Canada Goose wear and roughly 40 yards in I couldn't decide whether to turn back or move forward.
