Just curious how this is going. Have you joined? Do you plan on joining? Is there a room around you sponsoring it? Have you, or do you plan on participating in the practice rounds coming up?

I don't get around anymore, but I'm sure they are getting sign ups or they would packed the whole thing in by now. They have already spent a lot on promotion. Only thing that scares me is Johnny A. is involved. That could be the kiss of death right there. How is his poolroom doing by the way. Johnnyt

I was at Rack Daddy's in Plano, TX yesterday and they were advertising that Mike Sigel will be there on January 18th, 830pm, for a free exhibition. The flyer mentions the GPPA. It's the first I've seen of GPPA around here.

The GPPA is being started in several areas of the country. I met with one of the larger franchisees last week in TX, and was impressed with what has been done so far. They have much still to do before the scheduled nationwide launch in April, but from what I can tell, everything looks exciting!

I tried.

I contacted the closest GPPA league operator. Turns out her closest room is about two and a half hours from me.
She forwarded my information to someone at their national office who contacted me under the impression I was interested in being a LO.
When I replied that wasn't the case, I was just interested in playing, that representative told me to start a team and find seven other teams...

LOL to say the least.

So they want players to do all the work. Bad move IMO. Johnnyt

May as well just be the LO if you have to do everything. May let you run without a LO, just send the money!
