Show us your HOME ROOMS !!

We've been looking at new houses (here in California, not easy to find). It was kind of dismaying that even in 4,000 square foot houses, there is no assurance there will be an extra room large enough for a 9' pool table. We're now thinking of a custom.

This is exactly why I purchased my 30 year old house. Huge game room that I put my Gold Crown II and bar in. Also has a pool and Jacuzzi. Theres no way I would have gotten all this with a new or newer home in the Houston area.

A little outdated picture, I have done a bit more to this room to make it right, but still have several other things I need to get done....

The ex loved house shopping with me ... "sorry dear, not enough room for the table .... next house please ... " (ex =)

The best way is to get what you want where you want, then call in the engineer and contractors to open it up.

Dave <-- with about $10K and many hours invested in space .... just to walk around the 9' table :grin-square: ... OK, that includes a little wall and floor covering too.

Ross,

About how large are your corner pockets? In the photo they look nice and tight!

I used to be satisfied with the pool room I had... proud even. Now after looking at some of the amazing rooms on here I'm just flat jealous! I'm still thankful for what I have but secretly I am plotting to destroy you and take your stuff! :p

Northern Cal. here. We had to have a an addition to the house and, at the time, did not have the intention of making it a "game room". The room I posted would be just big enough at 15' X 25' (inside dimensions) for a 9 foot table. But since we want to put more "stuff" in the room I went with the 8 footer.

Newly recovered and tightened 9 foot Brunswick

My table is a ill tight but it plays great

no thank you .. I don't want my table to be like buckets but in my experience pockets like that just take the fun right out of it.

I'm sure other inputs were taken into consideration, but who gave Diamond carte blanche to change the game? If I wanted to frustrate myself even more than I currently am, I'd have opted to play snoooooker...
