New Fields Case ~ Gator print

Just saw this one in the for sale section, great looking case. This one shouldn't last long. Great work and nice pics.

Sharp and clean looking case. Some case makers sure could learn from you on making cases with clean finishing.

sweet. That is one clean case.
They keep getting better. Every case I make, Im constantly looking for things I can do better than the last one. The new interiors coming out will bring a few more improvements! ;)

Thank you sir! My number one focus (beyond the case being protective) is quality leather work. I appreciate when people notice the little things ;)

Sweet looking case!!!
Thank you!

Nicest case I think you've made. Its nice to be able to make something and sign it as your own... This means there is not only pride in ownership by the buyer, but by the maker.

Good point. And the next best thing is to own a shop where you have a team of people making the cases you dream up. That's what I have. I don't have to be hands on any more to provide great cases. Because I have been able to experiment due to having more resources I have been the Research and Development for the cue case industry. Thus we have provided a lot of innovation and help to other casemakers.

As a result they benefit and the customers benefit and everyone wins. Our customers feel tremendous pride of ownership with our cases just as I am proud of my team's ability to build as I taught them.

And I feel proud to own a wonderful Chuck Fields case knowing that a little bit of our knowledge went into making it.

Circle of Life Joe that's what it is all about.

So a thread where Chuck is showcasing his work and getting compliments about said work you need to come in here and wreck it. A thread where you're NOT even mentioned. You continue to be the most classless individual in pool and on this board.

Nah Chuck and I are good. We both know what the purpose of your post was Joe. Chuck makes awesome cases. In fact he made me the first custom case I have ever had made by another maker.

I am a huge fan of high quality work and glad to help my fellow makers wherever possible.

I know it probably bothers you to know that I help other case makers but that's how it is Joe. No matter how much you try to drive wedges it doesn't work.

So any time you want to bring up points of discussion I will be happy to discuss them. I will always be willing to help Chuck sell his work because its that good.

No one cares how you and Chuck are, the fact is the fact that you couldn't let him enjoy the props without getting something about yourself in the thread. Again know one mentioned you, but of course EVERY post is about John Barton. There is no way I could have been talking about the numerous cuemakers that sign their cues, or casemakers that sign their work, nah that's not possible. You need to get over yourself, you're really not that important.

John, believe me, they don't need your help, its tubes, leather and some rivets. He could like you, just buy a case and take it apart. You're not building rockets, in fact you're not building anything at all.

Of course nice getting the thread deleted that showed your continued jealousness towards Jack. But don't worry I am sure you'll be the engineer on many more train wrecks.

Oh they don't need my help? Probably not but can you remind me since you say I don't build anything how many cue cases you have built?

Just curious. Never seen a Joe Van Buren cue case in the whole 17 years or so I have known you.

Are you a closet leather worker?

I don't build the whole case that's true. In fact when I am in the USA I don't do anything on our cases. But I repair them when needed. The other day I replaced a name badge, all by myself, aren't you proud of me?

I repaired Jack's cases too. At the Derby City Classic. So at least I know how to fix them :-)

Anyway, it's up to Chuck if he wants to be upset at this conversation. I also own a Fields case and I believe you do not. So out of the two of us my comments on his outstanding quality are certainly more relevant.

Maybe if you ever decide to buy one you can review it. Hope you don't try to charge him for that.
