rack with extension to rail?

I remember these. Can't remember the name or find it. But basically an extended to the bottom rail,
and then a perpendicular arm ran along that rail to ensure it was straight.
One of those funny gadget racks that never caught on, like the wing rack.
I'm guessing the arm was a pain and it was difficult to transport even if you could detach it.
Players are more concerned with tight than not-crooked I think.

I've seen that thing used, crazy design with a TON of flaws. First, anything outside of a 9 foot table, can't use it.
If the rack area is not 100% perfect, can't use it (say a divot where the front ball will roll off each time so you have to rack high or low).
How do you rack 14.1 if the cueball or an object ball is behind the rack or on the rail where that thing hits?
Storage is also an issue, although not nearly as big as the other issues.
It would be like putting a cast on your arm in the perfect shape to scratch your nose so you don't need to use muscles to bend the arm in the right shape. But then what do you do if you need to use it for something other than nose scratching?

I don't get that thing either, you're limited to the same spot, what if that area is not perfectly level or smooth? Or you have an 8 or 7 ft table?

Yes it was huge. All black plastic. Saw a guy take 3 of them and build a chair!!
