Opinions wanted here. A top senior pro, such as Varner, vs. one of the top female pros. Nine or ten ball, race to 100 over three days of play. Who wins?
assuming that Varner has the stamina to play a while at his normal high level I like Varner.
Nick is one of the most under rated players of his generation. The man was a true monster in his time.I got to watch him in person at the recent tournament here in Denver and he held his own with much younger players. And none of the players at the tournament are as good as he was in his prime.
I went to see the 1st Annual Nick Varner Classic at Felt mainly to see Nick play. Nick will be 66 in May, and he still plays at a very high level. He beat Chip Compton and Joey Gray to reach the semifinals, before losing to Mika who of course won the tournament.
I got a real chuckle out of Nick's comment on the stream during the finals between Ruben Bautista and Mika. Neither player was playing well in the first set, and Justin asked Nick, "What's going on here Nick?" Nick said, "Well, I don't know, but I sure wish I could make it a ring game!"
Bobby Riggs.

Does anyone believe that there are more than maybe 3 or 4 women who could play competitively with men?
Karen Corr and Jasmine Oschen are the only two women who play against men today. Janette Lee has played in the past, but I don't think she does anymore.
Take men ranked 10-20 against the women ranked 1-10. Which gender would be in last 8.
I'm not sure why you say this. Who under rated him???
