Aiming and pocketing a ball are two separate things.
Pocketing a ball is the execution part done after you determine where the cb needs to be to make the OB go where you want.
Do you mean that Pocketing a ball is the execution part after you aim where the CB needs to be to make the OB go where you want?
You do not make high runs in 14.1 just because of your aiming method. It is execution that does that.
I would say it is both, along with pattern management that plays a key part as well.
One aspect of a shot is always true......there is only one spot on the table that will make the OB go center pocket. All aiming systems put the CB on the spot.
Now the variety comes in from spin and where in the pocket you place the ball. Y'all do try to hit a specfic part of a pocket right and not just somewhere in the pocket?
For us uneducated masses is that called cheating a pocket?
Sometimes I go rail first before pocketing a ball just to get a better angle off the ball I'm pocketing for the next position for the next shot. Seldom are games played only with one ball.
Likely you have to do that when you play bad position and get too straight on the next ball. Did you aim bad or poorly executed the shot prior to getting bad position? Then again maybe you could have picked a better pattern to not get into this trouble in the first place.
The required position for the next shot determines how I pocket the ball not what aiming system I use.
Ducky you might have better success if you plan your runs more than one ball ahead.
