I have found that letting go of a good one just before a lag, helps clear the air and sets the stage for a good match.

Back in the day when I played tournaments, the night before I'd eat bean burritos and/or chicken fried rice, and brocoli.....washing it all down with chocolate milk. Made for some very fun matches, especially if I was playing against guys I really didn't like all that much... This also worked very well in the computer LAN gaming arena as well.
You're supposed to take Beano *before* you eat the first bite of food. Otherwise, the enzymes don't have time to break down the starches and sugars that cause gas.
Gas warfare is as old as the hills, however. It's just not cool when you're playing scotch doubles, and you're gassing your own teammate.

Gas elimination product helps if taken before food, and if the gas issue is not common.
Common reason (many other reasons exists) for gas is shortage of enzymes produced by the pancreas, common enzyme is the lactose, one responsible for diary product, many people have it, better to take lactose pill before eating diary than take antic gas pill.
What happens when not enough enzymes, the food pass to large intestine undigested, and starts to ferment and produce lots of gas (the fart will smell very bad!! sorry). This kind of gas will not go away even if you take the whole bottle of ant-gas. Should see a doctor.

The absolute best remedy for gas that I've ever found is a slight change in diet. Try, for at least several day before you're going to play, eat only cauliflour, beans (kidney or pinto), and broccoli, and be sure to drink some whole milk, at least 16 oz., with this stuff. Works every time for me, make sure you try it
