QUOTE: Gave gas money to a guy in Elk City to drop me off in New Town North Dakota

Got to the 4 Bears Casino, could not afford a room the entire time I was there, Rooms were $106-$130 per night.

41 women were in my division and I mailed in my entry a week ago. I made it to the top 16 and they did a redraw and had a calcutta.

I went for $475 and could not afford half of myself, I was all in with my last $95 for 20% of myself.

I won third place for $600 and the calcutta paid an extra $810 for finishing 3rd, my 20% was $162.

Gene let me sleep in his car last night and use his laptop today, he also let me charge my cell phone and he will take me to a bus stop on his way home.

Im going to go to Oklahoma City and grind it out there for a week before heading to San Antonio, and then to Phoenix.

Anybody else remember a " road player " riding a bus?

Rhea,

While you are there, there is a girl who is looking for a road partner, she plays out of the pool hall over on 5th Street.

Her name is Dyah. Maybe she can help with the expenses.

I think Rhea is way past voting age.

Well then I have personally taken road players to the bus station and on occasion bought them tickets. I have no aversion to riding the bus to get to where I am going and don't really understand the issue. It's cheaper than gas, if you know how to get comfortable you can go to sleep and zone out. On a lot of the busses now they have internet access and power outlets so you can work if you want to.

If I didn't have to haul around a trailer full of cases I would probably just take the bus between cities and rent a car whenever I needed one.

Don't lie to yourself and us.

I doubt the great JB would ride a bus.

I personally rather walk than take a Greyhound. After a very extended trip with a very very large man sitting in the seat beside me (so large I couldn't cross my own arms) and sweating my balls off for several hours- I swore death before Greyhound!

When I rode in a Motor Cycle thrill show, I went from Toronto Ontario, thru NY, down the East Coast and all the way to Little Rock, Ark. Took in a lot of States.

Then thru Alabama, Mississippi, SC and to Raleigh, NC, Then to Savannah Georgia.

From Savannah Georgia, to Winnipeg Canada and to Regina Sask, my home town.

Can't even remember the miles that I put on, in over crowded buses that people actually had to stand or sit on other peoples laps. Seriously.

I remember one night, I was left standing. I heard this guy say to me, Billy Bro, Billy Bro come sit on my knee. He was serious. Ended up, this guy was a Mescalero, (sp) Indian, not Gay at all, just didn't want me to stand all the way. If I remember, I think I did end up sitting on his knee for part of the journey.

I quit driving truck at one point and drove a tour bus. If the steering wheel ain't in my hand, there is a great chance of never finding me on a bus ever again. Then I got to clean the buses and fish Coca Cola cans out of the toilette all the time.

Eating out of vending machines in the Grey Hound stations wasn't the greatest taste treat of my life either.

Above is called life experience, that is better teacher than any college professor lecture. That is real world experience, some learn a lot from, and no never get the point of the experience, to maybe move in a different better direction.

This is just stupid. You don't want to post to the forum, so you start a blog, which you then post links to in the forum.

Blog is not giving it the attention it craves,

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Pretty tricky. Trying to lure us over there with a link.

Hmmm, I wonder what will happen if I click this Link.

Ahhh, no thanks.

Yes. Many times road players took busses.

Joey and Chip toured the Carolinas on Greyhound when the were too young to vote.

Joey's first real road trip he go a free ticket and a plane. How many 13 year old kids get flown in for a score? LOL
