Let's Do Another Poll.....

The top 10 players of any format or discipline, over any time frame. The poll will be for who everyone, subjectively of course, thinks was the best there ever was. .

Nullus, I certainly appreciate and respect your post, but it's such a general poll.
The results will be all over the place, my friend.
There was another thread similar to this within the past month or so except it was limited to only pool.
Yours includes snooker (and, no doubt, 3-cushion)?
Just understand what you're up against here....

Seems like the poll should be more focused as in "TOP 10 players ever in 14.1 or 9-ball."
At least that way the results can be "seen" much better.
Only providing my respectful opinion on account of this similar thread previously done and
the results, in my opinion were quite inconclusive.

Why not do a poll for the top 10 players who actually had a career or business and made a living outside pool, and were still able to play the game at a top level!!

I'll start the poll with Jack Calovito! and follow it up with Danny Barouti!

I think the list for successful businessman/player should start with....
...Michael Phelan
...Harold Worst
...Irving Crane
...Arthur Cranfield

And who was the player that was a pilot and made runs to s. America?

I hear he had more paper that he knew what do do with.

Just nix the whole idea. Less than one day in and the majority of posts are for a different poll than the original idea. Never mind my original post. You folks run your own polls. Clearly you'd rather see other polls, so I think you should go in that direction. It's all good.

A poll would be okay if you separated games and fields, and even eras.

Like....Allison Fisher could be first choice in ladies 9-ball and ladies snooker.
...but to see her on a list where many players are left off that could give
her serious weight doesn't make sense.

If you make a poll for all of billiards, there's really only one player that
can't be argued against logically....
...Walter Lindrum at English billiards.

My opinion, of course

Which was the point of the original idea. To get suggestions like this and stack them together into a poll. Again though, it's all good.
