Prove CTE does not work.

Recently I received a private message telling me that the sender can prove CTE does not work. After conversation with a person I highly respect on this topic I am starting this thread for those who contend it does not work.

Instead of another war of words how about showing some physical demonstrations?

Video yourself at the pool table explaining what you understand CTE to be.

Show where you think it does not work and demonstrate that.

Then we can discuss the actual mechanics from that perspective.

(CTE advocates please stay out of this as long as you can.)

We have offered up plenty of video proof Duckie. Hours of it. With around 400,000+ views there are tens of thousands of people around the country eagerly learning how to apply CTE.

We think it works obviously and have provided the video demonstrations of ability as well as explanations of the process.

I am interested now in seeing if you would be willing to go on the pool table and prove it does not work and explain that through demonstration.

Are you willing to do that?

Joey, come on man. You have been part of this conversation long enough. If you have no interest in doing this on video then just don't participate.

You simply get a camera and show whatever you know of CTE and then prove that it doesn't work. If you don't know how to do a particular version then don't review it.

I don't enjoy arguing. What I want is to see some video proof that CTE does not work.

I know if someone makes an assertion that something works and I know it does not and can prove it then I will make a video showing that. I like the power of video.

There are many.....but there is only "ONE" real cte. I read that on here several times...got me to thinking, are there some counterfeits going around.

I didn't. You don't have to use CTE on every shot.

Anyway, I guess this thread is not going to produce any video proof. Well it's here if anyone cares to try.

I should also qualify this by saying that when I did this video I wasn't using CTE banking. Stan showed me that indeed such banks can be aimed accurately using CTE.

But that wasn't the point. The point was that I used the power of video to explore the actual shot under discussion to learn for myself whether the shot was possible using the claimed technique. It was.

You explain to me how I would have thought he was using CTE on that video.

IT LOOKED to me he lined up the contact point to the ghost pocket off a ghost table and from HAMM experience he compensated for the cueball squirt b/c of the inside english.

The below shot, going rail first for the 8ball, shows the limitation of every aiming system but ghost ball. Why ? Because you have to use indirect aiming.

You can not use the OB directly with the CB for aiming. You are going rail first. You have to aim at a spot on the rail. The only thing that is there is the contact point on the OB or the GB contact patch, ie spot on the table for the GB.

Above is a example to prove this. Draw that going rail first. Oh and I never got a answer about a side version of the drawing either.....wonder why?

Oh, consider this about the 1/2 tip pivot ......not all tips are the same diameter.....so then not all pivots are going to be the same because not all tips are the same diameter.......
