Most attractive -NO POINTS- NO RINGS CUE - NO INLAYS

I was just wondering if any of you have any photos of cues which don't have points, which don't necessarily have decorative rings, that you feel is very attractive.

I guess I am just wondering if a cue can be made of a particular piece of wood or woods that makes it look unique and attractive without points and decorative inlays.

If you have any photos or suggestions for combinations of wood or suggestions for very attractive but less decorated cues, I would love to hear from you.

I've seen some highly figured curly maple cues with a medium stain on them that I thought looked sharp. Don't have any pics but I know the one local guys is a pechauer.

I think I know what the Curly Maple looks like, but I don't think I can imagine what a medium stained curly maple would look like. Is it just a darker curly maple?

Yea I think there is a stain applied unless curly stains up a lot darker than regular maple.

Check out some of the work done by Treadway, and Tony Guerra.

Guerra uses gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous woods in his cues and doesn't rely on inlays, points, etc. to make them beautiful.

I love the look of nicely figured Bocote, it's just the way I think wood is supposed look.
I asked Steve Lomax to throw together a jump-break cue with some nice bocote with a curly maple handle and a few months later, this beauty showed up at my door.

I also really like this Sugartree someone posted awhile back. It has an Olivewood forearm/butt with I believe a Cocobolo grip.

Wood and craftsmanship is why I've collected cues.

Any figured wood is gorgeous, no points or inlays Needed.

I found out that the handle in my Judd JT-1 was not ebony but zircote. I'm a noob, I know but zircote is a really nice wood to use.

Guerra cues will surely pop up in this thread, high figure woods with clean designs is his wheelhouse. I also think Zylr and Sugartree cues fit this category as well.

One of my favorite cue woods is solely highly figured birdseye maybe cored with something dense and a brown leather wrap. I'd love to make myself one down the road.
