I see the same sales pitches and the same few people chiming in as a chorus line every time. Geno was stopped from turning the main forum into an advertisement forum and so was Stan's crew. This is no different.
I visited the aiming section and questioned what I saw. The answers that were given were anything but. If I never heard of an aiming system again, that would be just fine.

The biggest difference is the TOI Model is not an "aiming system". I really don't care how anyone "aims," as a matter of opinion I believe that's a natural sub-conscious process learned as a result, not an incentive (I don't know anyone that became a champion by learning an "aiming system" and we never talked about them on the road playing high dollar gambling matches - TOI has been the topic of conversation).
This (saying TOI is an aiming system) would be like saying a golfer that "draws" the ball is using an "aiming system," and of course this would be ludicrous. To draw the golf ball you blend the swing path and club face angle, with physical factors to produce this type of shot pattern (too much produces a "hook").....TOI is similar in nature.
Concerning T.O.I. {model} the players blends the cue ball "tip target" with creating the shot's angle AND the shot speed. This process quickly alters the player's existing "model," forcing natural angles, and accelerated shot speed and a "floating" reaction after contact....like anything that induces sub-conscious change, if you analyze it too much you risk "paralysis by analysis" and the results are minimal at best.
I could explain more specifically how this process of sub-conscious training works in the next few weeks. There's other "drills" that can expand on this, however, without the initial T.O.I. training it's not nearly as effective. 'The Game is the Teacher'

I was watching the hatch vs biado match, race to 25 ten ball, and noticed hatch use of TOI in a quite a few shots during the first two parts on YouTube via POVpool. I see it as a great example of the mindset CJ Is talking about, as are keith mccready's matches.

Not sure if Keith uses TOI on 99% of his shots. He seems to throw a lot of balls.
This was the year Jeremy Jones won the US Open. Keith lost 11-3 vs JJ for the hot seat. Then Jones beat Parica in the finals 11-4.

I don't think it matters what words you use to describe throwing balls in
Many of the old-timers used to call it "throw," and that's what I feel like too (maybe because of the original terminology). I don't think it matters what words you use to describe throwing balls in, the important aspect is aligning to the inside of the pocket and influencing it into the center......and if you "influence" it too much it will still go in the outside of the pocket.

Dennis Hatch ran over 200 balls when he was still a teenagers playing straight-pool.
I've always liked the way Dennis plays, he was exposed to many of the "old school" players at an early age too. Even at 15 Dennis played run out 9 Ball, and I think he ran over 200 balls when he was still a teenagers playing straight-pool.
