Poster Ads At Casinos?

Do casinos like the Rio allow large posters (like fight posters) of up coming pool match-ups to be hung around the hotel, bars, entrances, and casino? If they do allow them, do promoters like CSI do it? Johnnyt

If the answer happens to be yes, that's exactly the kind of thing I want to frame and hang in my basement. It's nearly impossible to get decent memorabilia for pool events.

In relation to the question originally posed, I think it would be foolish not to advertise if allowed.

I am pretty sure that would be a big "no". I have never seen a poster or any advertising like that in a casino in Vegas, ever. They have their high end advertising billboards that can have large ads installed behind glass, and electronic displays, but I have never seen anything like a poster simply tacked to a wall or pin board.

The only place I have seen some posters on the strip at all is when they are building a new building on the strip and have wood barricades between the construction and the sidewalk, people sometimes put up posters on those, usually to advertise escorts...

I can't imagine any casino allowing event promoters free reign of the property to promote their events (or any business, for that matter). An event contract is pretty detailed and I'm sure it covers promotion the casino will provide and restricts the promoter from doing any other promotion on the property.

We used to see them in Reno & Lake Tahoe Casinos
in the 80's-90's but not since then.
They want every patron to focus on one thing ... GAMBLING !

Why do promoters have pool match ups and 16 player invites in a casino? There are plenty of nice sports bars to hold it in. If there is no money in the live gate, and 1000 or so pool players in the next door room don't walk 100' to see the pros...even for free, why have it at a casino? Johnnyt

Legal gambling?

I thought I saw movie-poster sized advertisements outside some of the second-tier casinos for their in-house shows. Obviously not taping flyers to a roulette table, but I don't see it being 100% advertisement free.

I would think if they put posters up for a fight there, that they would let the promoter put up a large nice looking poster or two.
