Those Two Undercover Monster players are real. I have photographic evidence!

I really don't want to shatter anyone's illusions but this picture is in fact me. The photo has been heavily photoshopped though as it was in fact snooker I was playing at the time.

It was around 1928. I was 45. A few days later, I was shot and killed in a car accident. Took me weeks to recover.

IIRC I had 3 147's back to back and only had to jump over the edge of the ball three or four times a rack.

I also did not have a bald head at the time and I got rid of my goaty.

Lots of love voiceofreason (real name, Freddy Mercury)
Aha...caught you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...How can you have 3 of anything....back to back?????????????
....in a row, maybe

I believed everything else in the post
:yeah:

Sheesh - Kozoom features 14 tables in the World 9 Ball Event and now I'm suddenly expected to stream all 25 tables running at the Hard Times10-Ball? Thanks KoZoom - You've really raised the bar for us little guys out there...LOL.

POV Pool will probably feature 2-3 tables with real time updates of matches happening on other tables. Information which will be provided to us by spotters in the room.

---------------------

As far as my opinion on this whole 'Monster' fiasco - To me, this is nothing more than a UFO sighting. A few things about UFO sightings that we can all agree on is:

- Most are hoaxes
- Many are attributable to some other natural or manmade phenomenon
- It's all hype of some kind to sell something else

I'm pretty sure we will not hear from LongHaul again. If we do, I would ask him this question: "Which Bar was this?" I will simply call the owner and find if anything remotely like this happened at all. I will also ask that the owner take a new picture of the table to confirm the location.

I have no idea who Built-To-Last is, but thanks for hyping up the Hard Times 10-Ball for us - Pool on the west coast this year really needs it, since there isn't really a 'West Coast Swing' for 2014. I want to remind you also that there is traditionally, no Calcutta at the Hard Times 10-Ball, nor is there one being planned that we know of. Somebody stated that Francisco Bustamante is not playing this year, but I have a different report that both Efren and Busty are confirmed for this year's event. Unless Busty has some action up north, playing Anthony Pirone for $100 a game, one-pocket, I'm pretty sure we will see him play the Hard Times 10-Ball.

On that note: I also have a report from Brook Thomason, that both Busty and Efren will be staying in town a few days after the 10-Ball, which means that we could actually arrange a special 'action match' or two at Hard Times, just before they leave for Vegas on July 16th. Now, just because I'm letting you know this, in no way eludes that I actually believe that there are two unknown, self taught, unbeatable pool monsters out there working their way to Hard Times to rob the room. It just means that POV Pool may actually stay at Hard Times a few more days to report an unfolding historical event which always happens when Efren and Busty are in town. Last time they were here, Bobby Emmons played Efren and lost Thousands on POV Pool - One can only guess what the aftermath of the Hard Times 10-Ball may bring (Unknown Monsters -highly doubtful).

My favorite part of this story is, the big 'Hollywood Type' who might show up to bet $1 Million on this match. Maybe we should call Ben Affleck or Michael Jordan. Haven't they been known to bet pretty big?

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the event, and please don't be disappointed about, no Calcutta, no unknown monsters and no hollywood types. It'll be streamed live on POV Pool and it'll be on hell of an event. If anything strange occurs, you can be sure that We will be there to cover every minute of it for you.

P.S. To KOZOOM - Awesome stream!!! Simply, the best I've ever seen and I'm glad that Alex Pagulayan is still in it!

You have action!!!!! Let's play.

I am both "Built to Last" and "Longhauldriver" and there are no monster players that are going to descend on Hard Times.

I apologize.

Goodbye.

Were you threatened to be banned if you didn't come clean? This has all been very adorable.

it's likely he has pissed someone off and has already left enough of a digital footprint (as we all do)to be tracked accordingly if one so desired

I love this type of story. When I was running around with Jimmy Reid and later Keith, we would always be asking "Where are the best players?" Our mouths would salivate when we heard about a guy who was beating everyone and betting pretty good.

I can remember sitting in poolrooms and bars all night just waiting for the local champ to show up, cause this was the guy everyone wanted to bet on. Only one guy every turned out to be the real deal. I'll never forget him. His name was Bobby Tippit I think and he played out of bar in Visalia, CA. We had been warned that he beat everyone who came through there, so naturally we beat a path to his door. He played Jimmy to a standstill for over eight hours, both of them putting together fours, fives and sixes over and over again. Every time it looked like Jimmy was going to put him away the guy would bounce back with five or six racks.

We had them stuck about 400 (total bet was around 50 or 60 a game with the side action), when Bobby did it again, running several nice racks. I told Jimmy that I had seen enough. I was afraid this guy might bust us, cause Jimmy would never quit. Jimmy reluctantly pulled up and we got out of there with some lunch money. I heard about Tippit several times after that, and it was always about some top player that he beat. In that one bar he was Godzilla!

P.S. Years later Bobby showed up at one of my U.S. Bar Table events in Reno. He was older but I remembered his name and sure enough it was the same guy. He still played good and finished in the money, but he wasn't a world beater anymore.

My mistake, the great bar table player out of Visalia was Bobby Geels! I somehow got him confused with another guy. He played Kim to a dead heat, maybe even winning a little. That's when Kim and Keith ruled the West Coast (except for Swanee in S.D.). I don't know if Keith ever played the guy. Maybe Jam will ask him. I know for sure Keith would not have ducked him. He would have gone looking for him too. ;)

Aha, we can see what's going on here. You came clean too easily. This is obviously a ploy to divert our attention. But, we're not going to fall for that one, nosiree.

Guys, be on the lookout for 2 unknown monster players at Hard Times next month.

Great story non-the-less Jay. Those are the kind I like. Ever think of writting a book?:D

"I am both "Built to Last" and "Longhauldriver" and there are no monster players that are going to descend on Hard Times."

Well played sir, if in fact you are the OP.
Though one thing is for sure in this thread...there are some awfully dim bulbs

I heard that many high level players went to Alabama to play Junior Golf on his local pool room's 8 foot table and did not like it back in the 80's. Playing on the table you always play on can certainly changed the odds. Players that could beat Junior anywhere else most often did not get there on his table.

Only one guy every turned out to be the real deal. I'll never forget him. His name was Bobby Tippit...

Bobby Leggs was another one that was tough to beat on his "home court".....so was Bobby Pickle...

"That's Bob Vanover he's senior champion, this guy can play some pool."

So, the lesson here is that if you wanted your "Undercover Monster Players" story
to be that much more believable, you should have named both guys Bobby.

Great Horney toads! Another Bobby?

Junior was past his prime in the 80's. The best player in Al at his pool room was Kenneth James in Athens, Al, in the 60's and 70's and early 80's. He beat most champions that came through including the Miz.

That is correct. But with due respect to longhauldriver I apologize for claiming I was him as I am NOT in fact him.

I simply posted that to try and draw the heat off both of us.

Bobby, if you are reading this I apologize. Please check in when you can.

And "New York" and "Arizona" I apologize also for any action I may have ruined for both of you guys and for any loss of income your backer and strong arm guy might have sustained.

I know you two guys are true road professionals. Gentlemen headhunters traveling the country doing it right. Headhunters and not hustlers.

In closing, it looks like these guys might really have a coming out party if in fact they still are going to try and take down hard times.

They can stay on the West Coast for the six months and snap everybody off!

Good luck to you guys, and I hope you make a ton of CASH!

What do you think their next move will be?

Send only one guy into the tournament and then have the other guy show up post finals for serious action or ?

Don't send either of them into the tournament at all but have them show up post finals for serious action or ?

It actually might be smarter for them to send one guy in. He might not get made until later in the tourney, and then they can bring in the other guy post tourney.

I mean say they both snap it off for first and second. That would be like $5K for 1st and $2.5K for 2nd. Right?

Do you think a 1st and 2nd would totally kill their action at this point? Since blabber mouths like myself and Bobby got a line on these guy's before they even step foot into California?

Might be smarter to send one guy in or neither.

What would you guys do if you were staking them?

What would be your game plan post this discovery seeing the word is out about these two monsters?

It's something to ponder.

Entering rehab is a thought.

Besides the other issues found with the posts of these two(?) guys, I find it rather peculiar that BTL can't seem to post without mentioning Bobby (the supposed LongHaulDriver) at least once. Sounds like you are desperately trying to drive the point that you aren't the same person.
