2014 World 9-Ball: SVB vs. Jung-Lin play by play

SVB finds no discrepancy with rack, breaks, makes a ball, has favorable 1-8 collision that aligns a great shot on the one ball. 3 ball shape a little touchy...he gets good'nuf on it. SVB runs out.

9-6 SVB

Tremendous response so far from Shane after JL tied it at 6-6.

Rack #16: JL to break

JL breaks, makes two balls and has to push out. He's thinking and pushes...SVB smirks like he doesn't like it, but can see 3/4 the one ball and executes a great safe.

JL makes a one rail kick that leaves SVB no apparent shot. SVB bobbles his head...and plays a safe. JL might see the edge of the one ball, but its razor thin if he does. He doesn't and has to kick. SVB has a chance to run out, but with a tough shot to start.

Rack #16 cont'd

SVB misses the one ball. JL takes advantage with a great bank shot...he looks to be out. JL gets out.

9-7 SVB

Rack #17: SVB to break

SVB breaks, makes a ball, (he's squatting the cue nicely) and has a run out. Got 'funny' on the 3 ball. Quite missable...and he does in fact miss it.

The chat msgs are out of control with that miss. LOL

Noah says "SVB not focusing"

JL makes the 3 ball but has to play safe on four ball.

Rack #17 cont'd

JL plays great safe, SVB airborne. SVB makes a good hit and leaves a less than desired shot on 4 ball.

JL eying up the 4 ball, gets down, gets up, gets down and plays a great shot on it into corner pocket. This rack looks like its all over but the crying. JL runs out.

9-8 SVB

The pool god sometimes is really biased, despite all his mistakes Shane gonna beat a guy playing nealy flawless who missed only a crossed bank shot. Maybe he gonna drop the monkey this time :).

JL made some mistakes at the beginning of the match which is part of the reason Shane got out to an early lead.

It's 9-9, and now it's just a dumb old race to two. Shane controls the break, though, and therefore controls the match. Two great ones in a dog fight!

Rack #18: JL to break

JL breaks and has 'touchy" combo on 1-2...he converts. Makes a great draw shot on 1 to 3 ball (wow)...and runs out.

Tied ball game @ 9 a piece.

Rack #19: SVB to break

SVB breaks, makes two balls and has a great chance to run out. 4 ball is nestled up against that side pocket pretty good. Nope, goes in cleanly. SVB out.

10-9 SVB

What a match

(the audience is beginning to clap now...before they seemed relatively silent)

Rack #20: JL to break

JL breaks, dropping bunch of balls (3) and has cut or bank on one ball. He don't like either right now.

Rack #20 cont'd

JL opts to play safe...great shot. SVB got a one or two rail option. He opts for a two railer...gets a good hit and leaves JL a great opportunity to get out. But, must be a full table draw back 4 diamonds for position on two ball.

He draws up 3 1/2 diamonds and has tough shot on two ball.
