They took a cyst off my thyroid duct about the size of a tennis ball.
Pretty brutal surgery but I think I'm going to be fine. I had this thing for about 30 years they think and I'm pretty sure myself that they're right.
Cause chronic ear infection and sinus infection. I had ear surgery in 1986 amd sinus surgery when that didn't help in 1987. That didn't help either. Always had this terrible drainage down my throat.
The problem is when you lay down to sleep with something like this the infection runs up into your sinuses and causes all kinds of trouble.
The surgeon asked me what I was going to do with the rest of my life.
he knows what terrible health trouble this was causing.
When I went into the ER I couldn't swallow at all. it was done. had to stay on antibiotics for almost 3 weeks to calm down the infection.
My throat looks like it will stick out like this forever. Got a big hole there to fill in.
I'm definitely going to like playing allot more. no more getting sick while I'm playing to getting up and not being able to play at all.
These young guys need to look out for this old guy. I feel like I got a knew lease on life. And I know what I will be doing with the rest of it.
Play pool and teach and it will start again as soon as I am road worthy.
Within a month.
