Article On Kevin Trudeau

He is a scam artist. His diet didn't work. The people who lost weight gained it all back. 90% of people who go on a diet gain all the weight back. They are all scam artists who try to convince people there is an easy way to lose weight when diet and exercise are the only way.

His diet didn't work but that doesn't mean you lock him up.

Methinks you may have oversimplified the life and crimes of Kevin Trudeau a wee bit in your description here.

I knew about his scams long before he came up with the IPT and the initial gift of big $$ to Mr. Sigel. I saw through the IPT from day one, and I was not alone.

Please read more about his past and the reasons he got ten years...

I've seen Kevin for years on TV and have read into many of his books and as
an adult I'm also responsible for what I purchase and how I interpret the information
and induct it into my life as I see fit.
If you read the Natural cures book, the theories are wrote by numerous experts
in that field and Kevin was the spokesman.
If you really believe he's in Prison for books or false hope thats fine but its
funny that everybody that helped with the info that went into the books got charged
with nothing.
Not saying he's a saint but 10 years is a grudge imo.

It is kind of like burning down a Kwiky Mart in town because a town cop shot a kid. It may relieve some frustration, but it doesn't seem much like justice to me.

A friend of mine who bought one of Kevin's books just a few weeks ago used the knowledge gained to get some free stuff from someone. I dunno.

At one time, all a person had to do was make a Donation Thread on AZ.

Like Pan Handling. 9 out of 10 people will pass you by, but 1 out of ten isn't bad when you are on a busy street and dealing with hundreds, thousands a day.

Glad to see that the Members have done some wising up lately, myself included. I thru out my Rose Colored Pool Glasses some time ago.

Apparently Dr. Oz is following in Kevin's footsteps .Speaking of scams that Federal Reserve scam was a big one .A private banking organization was setup on an island off the coast of Georgia and now they control our interest rates and our money is backed up by numbers in a computer , how many people suffered because of that.

Everyday some law firm is on TV trying to get people who have had adverse effects from prescription medications to join a lawsuit.Kevin Trudeau is an amateur compared to most politicians and their crimes against the American taxpayer.

I don't get why he was sentenced to prison. People sell crap that doesn't work all the time. Was it solely based on the fact he discredited the gov't? The way I see it, if you're dumb enough to buy it you deserve to lose your money.

That is a good point.

Another good point maybe he did not know enough to grease the right palms.

Care to elaborate on what the knowledge was specifically?

It was a Buy My Get Free Money Book.

Then, you get an order form to buy 500 Free Money Books and sell them to others.

And then, once you make to the top, people will be buying Free Money Books from you.

Hey, its Free Money.

I once lost $500 in a Pyramid Scam. If I could have kicked myself in the nuts a few times over that one, believe me, I would have. Trouble was, my Buddy and I got in on it on its dying days and everyone else already made it to the top and cashed.

in 1991, a furniture manufacturer in NC (yes, when they still MADE furniture in the US), was sentenced to 4 yrs Federal prison for embezzlement. the scam was discovered after the sale of his company & its audit. the prison was better known as a "country club" in AL at the Air Force Base; light security. on his last night in town, he was driving his Porsche....

he never had to repay the money; claimed he spent it. he did 2 yrs & was out & no one has seen him since. he's still known as the $64 MILLION DOLLAR MAN.

i guess sometimes it pays to do the time.

Something about getting back some union dues or retirement savings from a job he held about 40 years ago!

Not sure if he got the dough, though.

I didn't have the heart to tell my friend who Kevin was or that he's in jail. My friend plays pool, btw, but doesn't go online. He's still living in the last millennium, relying on luck.

So, the victims be damned? I haven't looked into this story closely, so I probably missed something, but...

How is that justice? In 10 years, half of his victims might be dead and how can he pay back anyone while he's in the joint? And the taxpayers are now stuck paying for his stay. wtf?

What was the true purpose of his being put in front of a judge?

Jeff Livingston

What else can they do? He filed for bankruptcy and has no funds in the US system. Only recourse now is to continuously jail him, or have him run through a gauntlet made up of all the victims hitting him with his books.

They usually SAY they made it to the top and cashed to get you in. If they made it to the top and out -why do they need you to get in though?

Maybe they did but i never met ONE person who really did.

Anyway-It probably saved you money in the long run- a bit expensive but a lesson learned that wont be repeated im sure.

Put him to work paying back his victims.

Or burn down the local Quicky Mart and call it a day.

He gained his wealth by some not totally ethical means. Research how Bill Gates got his hand on his first operating system dos. In the days before cable tv the last thing on tv before it went off the air in the wee hours of the morning was a preacher named Cleofus Robinson who would send you a vile of holy water which would cure all your ills if you sent him a small donation.

I never bought any of Trudeau's stuff because I didn't believe it. If you locked up everybody who hustled their way into wealth at the expense of others there would be a lot of fortune 500 people in prison.

His biggest offense against the public was credit fraud. Once he had your number you would be double, triple and quadruple billed till you had to close your account to get it to stop.

He is in jail, much like other, criminals for something different then what his real offense was along with others. Some things are easier to prove and if getting the guy behind bars is the goal, who cares how they did it.

What is funny about guys like him, he could have made his millions without doing anything illegal. I once took a course in marketing and it was interesting. I learned that you can sell people worthless stuff and offer a 100% money back guarantee.

You will still make money because only a small percent will actually go to the trouble to send back the product for the refund. You don't have cheat anyone they don't even care if it was not that expensive in the first place. They just throw it away.

Trudeau just has a warped way of thinking and he can't do anything on the up and up, he is not wired that way.

Bingo! This is it. He just didn't pay off the right ppl so that equals jail time. Don't kid yourself there is no one looking out for the little guy, only the little guys wallet.

His monies owed will goto victims restitution funds. And they'll still collect it even if he is in jail, this ain't over by a long shot. He has the money and they know it.

Not to mention that he basically lied to the judges face again and again. You don't claim that youre broke and then transfer 20k from an Australian account. Duh. You don't claim that youre broke and then spend $900 at the liquor store in one trip, $750 at a whole foods store in one trip, $350 on two hair cuts, $924 on cigars and $1000 on premium steaks.

Duh.

They warned him and he still tried to bullshit them anyway. Hes not only greedy but stupid as well. And I have a feeling that his wife's money laundering isn't gonna continue for much longer. Just a matter of connecting the dots.

Much like our own AZB Biz Master, who hasn't been around for some time.

That is a good point.

Trudeau was convicted of criminal contempt in November 2013. While his problems started much earlier, the 10 year sentance was for the criminal contempt conviction ... he was guilty of not complying with a contempt order that was the result of him not paying fines from an earlier conviction. He didn't get a 10 years sentance for selling BS book.

If you decide to not pay then eventually you go to jail. Depending on where you live this same result can start with a simple traffic ticket (not 10 years, but then traffic fines are not typically in the $M range). Snubbing ones nose at the courts is a silly move.
