so we're not allowed to disagree on subjects?? what's the point of having a discussion if everyone agrees all the time. that can get real boring real fast. we can all report more than one thread at any given day bc we can't all get along. that's what makes us who we are.
now, the guy above me is out of line. he doesn't know you are a moderator.

I guess people can't see beyond their nose sometimes. The only thing dense here is someone thinking that Emily is a pro player, and should thus be banned. She isn't a pro level player, and this should be allowed to play in any tournament she wants...period!!!

The whole point of pros not playing in amateur tournaments is to keep the field from being dominated by a pro who plays pool for a living, giving no one else a chance to win. What "mixed events" is everybody referring to? I guess I could understand banning a pro (regardless of your definition) if we were talking about APA or BCAPL where amateurs have paid dues all year and have handicaps, but I for one like playing with pros on a regular basis, with no handicap. I play on the Action Pool Tour out here in VA/DC/MD and we have Shuff, Mike Davis, Shawn Wilkie and several other pros/monsters. It's not handicapped..and they don't always win, either. 25 years ago I played in the regionals of the "Coors Light World Series of Bar Games" in New Orleans...we had 4 touring pros off the PBT and at least one WPBA player (Belinda Beardon) play...none of them won it, either. Here on the East Coast I never see pure "amateur" tournaments, unless it's a league. I saw Mike Sigel get banned from a tournament once, but there was one guy that cashed in SBE and another in DCC, so a little gray...

There is no stipulations regarding my forcing an apology. He has been reprimanded and admitted he was wrong.

Or you can come to Chicago anytime you like. I usually can't stomach being around lowlifes, but I will make an exception for you. It's only a $300 flight to win thousands... gotta like those odds. Anything stopping you ?
