I disagree. Being a women's pro and a men's pro are 2 different things. Being ranked as a women's pro does not put you at a level that should necessarily be banned from mixed tourneys. The whole point of pros not playing in amateur tournaments is to keep the field from being dominated by a pro who plays pool for a living, giving no one else a chance to win. If someone does not play at that level, then it defeats the purpose to ban them, no matter what their title is somewhere else. Emily is not going to dominate any significant mixed men's tourney, so she this shod be of no concern. Karen Corr on the other hand would beat the vast majority of amateur men, and should therefore not be allowed to play in amateur events. I don't care what they are ranked by the wpba, the question where hey stack up against the competition of the amateur event. Emy would not have any any chance in a mixed pro event, and would not dominate any mixed amateurs event, so why wouldn't she be able to play?
