I took Top Shooter in the High Tier this season. First match of play-offs is tonight against a team we beat fairly badly just three weeks ago. Next week is a much tougher match if it plays out like I think it will. Our 3 also got a 20-0 skunk in his final match of the season. It was his first win all year.
Thanks. We got the win last night in 4 matches. Everybody shot well and won their matches. I beat the guy who was #2 in Top Shooter in a really tight match. We both needed 3 going into the last rack. A real nail biter. He's a good dude though and I always enjoy playing with him.good shooting .
So I have a lovely dilemma....my presence has been required to play on 3 valley teams. I have one of my best friends who's team will be soso even with me on there to bump up the curve a bit. Second is a friend of mine that I know will have a competitive team and I am sure they are fun to hang out with. 3rd is another friend who I played with their team a few years back and we got 2nd in the intermediate division, fun people to hang out with. 4th option is no dice on any of them, focus on poker as there is no money in pool anyway and football season is here which takes up too much time/effort (fantasy, bets, watching etc). Yikes!
I'd go where there are the most girls
I'm feeling burnt out and I only play one night a week! My team has a bye this week and my girlfriend asked if I was going to miss playing. My response was "miss it?... nah..."
TBD... I may head up to Turning Stone this weekend to watch how the pros do it (and to lose 20 bucks in the video poker machine.)
fellas i think i am getting burnt out on pool.
i had my choice of whether to go to apa travel or in house money league tonight. i just stayed home.
the last few weeks i have found myself getting lax at the table. lost last wed napa league to a guy who should never beat me.
won sat napa league but i was down 2-0 and got ticked off cause i was playing bad and won the next 4 in a row winning 4-2 in a 4-4 race.
sun night double jeapordy. lost my 9 ball match 25-23 to a 3. got ticked off about that and won my 8 ball 4-1 in a 4-4 race.
i never practice on my home table and although i have any where from 1 to 2 hours free practice in most of my leagues i never get there early enough to practice. when i do get there i just watch every one else practicing until it is time for matches to start.
i have cut back on teams i play on this last year. guess i need to cut back a few more.
I love playing pool, but boy do you play a lot
I think by only have a few league nights, you look forward to them more. At least that is what I suspect is going on here.
Of course, I'd like to have the opportunity to test that theory, but I'll stick with my two league nights a week for now

Last night was 10 Ball at my Mega Bucks League. As I'm just a three I played a 7 so in a race to 11 I got a handicap of 5 games and the 8 and out. With the 8 and out how could I lose? Just look for combinations with the 8, 9, and 10!!! So I won easily.
