Is there any way to go to a thread (for example) that has MANY posts, open it and easily find the One post you made within the thread without the long look thru each page???

In the advanced search there is a check off for search by post.

That option might only be available from the main forum, but if you know the phrase, it will still work.

Just click on your name, then click find all posts.
Now search for the post your looking for and click on it.
That should do it, I think.

Here's a way to do it easily without using the Search function.

• Go to the list of all the threads in the Forum that contains the thread of interest.

• Click on the number of "Replies" (one of the columns) for the thread of interest. This will produce a pop-up window listing the screen names and the number of posts for everyone who has posted in that thread.

• Find your screen name in the list (or the screen name of anyone else whose posts you want to find from that thread) and click on the number of posts opposite that screen name. That will give you a list of all of the posts from that thread for the poster of interest.

Upper right (ish) toolbar "search this thread"

Best answer in the thread. This is how to do it within a thread.

AzBilliards forum software search engine does not allow one to search for words that are three letters or less. Best way to search for some words is to go on Google and type "AzBilliards forum," then your forum name and then the keywords you are looking for. It will pull up all threads with your name and those words. Best search engine for AzBilliards.

I use the search feature often. I used to contribute a lot of pool data and historical archival-type info on AzBilliards when it was fun to post here. Today, not so much. I do use the Google search function when I am looking for something pool-related that I posted years ago. It works great.

Interesting question.

Tried using google - it is a better search engine than AZB Seach

Go to the thread.

For example the Funny pic/gif thread is
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=93024
Copy into google the thread URL Space AZB alias

For example
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=93024 Scaramouche

Gave only two
Tried both links
None of the posts were mine

I Assumed because my page setting is to show the last posting first and that google reports in chronological order
So at the time of testing, the thread had 1382 pages
The two links were pages 1314 and 612

So in reverse chronological order they would be 68 and 770
Change the page number in the thread url
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=93024&page=770
which has this post
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=3319270&postcount=9179
and
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=93024&page=68
with nothing.
There is a post on an adjacent page.

In the original search, below the two listed, I clicked on
repeat the search with the omitted results included
and got a more comprehensive result.
https://www.google.ca/search?q=http...rg.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&filter=0

Presumably, you could refine your search by giving google more key words.
