Regardless of whatever history you might have with Teachers Billiards, they just took a GIANT step forward for pool in the area:

FIFTEEN brand new Diamonds were set up yesterday. 13 barboxes and two 9-footers. Each with a brand new set of Cyclop balls.

This is about a 35 minute drive for me and I'm going to have to consider buying a more fuel efficient car now.

I encourage anyone passing through to give them a try and if you haven't been in a long time, maybe it's time to revisit them.

Now that's a breath of fresh air in the pool world. Thanks for spreading the news.

U should be sick lol and JB did say he's gonna start coming here cuz all diamonds

Didn't I hear JB is just over in Oklahoma now or somewhere not that far away? He can come back - I'm sure he can get played by any number of people. He seems like decent action at least. :)

That will never happen again. Lou has nothing to prove. Its over, Lou won.

Right. Now we just need to see you in action. The freakshow is over now let's see the Great Bobby "World Pro" Chamblain taking off the folks in the newly redone Teacher's Billiards.

When can we expect to see the news of these matchups? I know that myself and many of your fans are eagerly waiting to see you finally taking down some big money matches and winning some titles.

Oh, and to toot my own horn a little bit, there's also a brand new website for all things related to pool in town. Hit the image in my signature and check out StLPool.net. :)

I am not going anywhere. I can get played all over the country. When I come back I will ask Lou to play first. When he declines, which he will, then I will decide who else I want to play.

Y'all are free to head west as well.

I'm curious as to why so many barboxes and so few big tables. I could see maybe 8 or something for lots of league, but 13 is a lot of barboxes. Looks pretty nice, though and I'm a little jealous of the big Diamonds. :o

Yea I'm pretty excited too get some time on the big one my self

Banks - Unfortunately, this area is mostly barbox pool. There's a handful of players that really enjoy/prefer the big tables - but there are ZERO events on the big tables. Also, most pool rooms around here rely on leagues to stay open, so... barboxes are very necessary. I'm just happy there are 2 big tables, so there's more of a chance to get on one. :)

And yes. DIAMONDS! :) :) There are, to best of my knowledge, now only about 6 9-foot diamonds in the entire stl area (in a 30-minute radius).

Also - with 13, there's a good chance he can run/host larger travelling tournaments that simply couldn't be done with just 8. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

Here's the problem.....ever play golf on a private course? The course is usually a lot less crowded than a public course. Of course price has something to do with it but it has a lot to do with the difficulty of the course. The average once a week hack doesn't want to go out and shoot 95. He wants and easy course where he can shoot 87.

Same for pool. Put in tough tables and some will appreciate them but the people that pay your bills, the average customer won't come back once they can't make 3 balls in a row. You better have a way to cater to the 'experienced' player and get them to come in multiple times a week. And not just during lunch hours when if you buy a $3 burger you get free pool.

Your worst nightmare is that I will agree to play you again.

You'll pop-up and stipulate conditions that'll make my only sensible choice to not play. Just as a for instance: I told you a long time ago I wouldn't play 10 ahead but that's the game you keep bringing up anyway. It'll go something like that.

Or maybe we'll agree to play and you can manage to get yourself into a fight right before and call me from the hospital that the match is off.
