And now that he has won a big title, his fans like to soak it in, yet some of those same people are jumping saying he is not a world champion. That just doesn't sit well with his fans. Allow me to connect the dots for you regarding why:
1) Feijen is currently our WPA 2014 World Champion.
2) Based on his 2014 performance record, Many do not believe Feijen is the best player in the world right now.
3) I think the designation of World Champion should be reserved for the player with the best performance record in the world. This is the way it is done in most big time sports (tennis, golf, F1, etc.). I don't care for the WPA designation.
4) Based on his 2014 performance records and his recent WPM win, Shane Van Boening is the best player in the world right now. Based on how the year finishes out, we can judge again. Right now, it is all SVB.
