No offense DAZ, you are a great player but I read where you said you should always be the Captions Pick if the MC goes hill/hill. Sorry to tell you but Feijen would have been my pick in 2011. You and Van Den Berg dogged your brains out on final day. If it wasn't for Feijen you boys were toast.

And 2012 you, Nick and Feijen crapped your britches on the final day. But our Rookies couldn't fade Melling and Van Den Berg. One of them would have been my pick.

And don't worry, our team this year got grind. We got a chip on our shoulders that you guys can't fade. American determination will prevail.

Thanks for listening, have a blessed day DAZ..:joyful:

I don't know Hungarian.
DAZ is very tough in these exhibitions and free roll events. There is usually less pressure and he thrives. He's probably the best player in the world in these type of conditions. He's probably right, he should always be the captains pick.

He's a great player under all formats, but really great in these.
:)

Maybe you guys are trolling? Why be so disrespectful to a pro who actually participates on this forum?

Yeah he only made 6k in the last free roll... Am sure that nothing compared to the check you get each month for dain bramage... These guys are champions not chumpions... dunno why you think there has to be $100000 on the line before you hate to lose... These guys hate to lose for free.. I guess you don't mind losing and just can't relate... Dee de deeeeee....

Hungarian is actually trying to get some back and forth going would be my bet but since it is written word it seems a little stronger than woofing... I'd say an edit is in order if he wants Daz to come play along to bolster MC interest.....

How would I edit it?

He dogged it on the final day two years in a row.

Jumpin is right though, he plays well in exhibition format.

Team Europe, should a captain's pick match arise, would have to choose between the 2014 and 2012 World 9-ball champions. They'd be hard pressed to get it wrong, but I suspect it would come down to who played best between the two on the way to the captain's pick match.

Darren and Niels figure to be the cornerstones of Team Europe.

6 years after switching from english 8-ball (where he previously ranked #1) to american pool, he's had 2 world championships and 2 US Open titles. i think Daz deserves respect and deserves to be captain too. think about it - some people adore players who dont even have world titles.

Yeah, I have no idea why Dennis Orcollo picked him as a partner for the doubles tournament.

There is way more pressure in a short race tournament format.

A race to six, with the cup on the line and the pressure turned up to the max, I'd pick Daz over anyone in the world - certainly over anyone in Europe or the US. He thrives in spots like that.

If they do choose daz and there is some speaking that is involved...

I need some damn subtitles! Wtf is that guy saying? Is he be talkin American?!

Daz is the best clutch player on the planet, simple as that.
If you're looking for the one guy to take on a difficult shot when
the pressure is really on he's it.

So without factoring in form of the day (it obviously will factor
in) he would be my pick for a hill/hill shootout.

gr. Dave

Appleton can play, as long as the race is short enough. Hatch and Shane both left him for dead in a long race.

Methinks we need to chill out. It's friendly, fun woofing...trashing-talking. My Grandma shoots better than Daz and she's been dead for 20 years. Daz is so bald that his ears are hairier than his head!
