I'm helping someone to organize some small focus groups for a one hour meeting on Sat. Dec. 13th. The meetings are to get feedback on organized pool, and will be at a hotel out near O'Hare airport. The meetings last one hour, and you will be compensated with $75...free parking will be provided. Looking mostly for mid-level players (APA 4-6 or compatible handicaps), men and women. Paul...It is not my focus group (and it isn't Amway). Therefore it is impractical to have the discussion here. I was asked to help locate Chicago area poolplayers who might be interested in attending. That's what this thread is for...nothing more. If you're interested (even though you don't live in Chicago), PM me your email address, and I'll send you the information on the groups, including who to contact.

It is absolutely because the people putting this on want it to be productive. They are expending a considerable amount of time, energy and money to make this effort. The focus group meeting are two weeks from today Dec. 13). They are still looking for prospective participants. Not everyone who applies will be chosen, so anyone interested should still send me your email in a PM. They are looking for expert players as well.

Scott....I am having an "APA Three Player Team Tournament" played on 9 foot tables @ Red Shoes Billiards on Dec. 13th. If you can give me an idea of what your trying to accomplish, you might be able to have your FOCUS GROUP at my place (should be a fair amount of players APA and Non APA around). Call me at the pool room (evenings) 708-388-3700. John L.
 
John...Thanks for the kind offer. That said, it is not my focus group, and I have nothing to do with it, other than trying to help the organizers find appropriate participants. They have already established the location for the meetings in the Westin Hotel near O'Hare. I would be happy to forward the qualification information to you, however, if you give me an email address. They might be interested in you as a participant. :thumbup:

Westin O'Hare - Half a block from River's Casino. Maybe the organizers should mention that part! That would help get participation from pool players.:)
 
Bring your cues, Chris's is just down the road off the Lawrence Ave exit.. Can't be much more than 10 minutes unless it's rush hour, then it might seem like an eternity!
