Cuebuddy come to Denver

Cuebuddy Aka Jim came down from Vail today to Felt.
His wife and daughter were out draining his bank account doing some big city shopping.
We played 10 ball for about 4 hours and it was all I could do to keep pace with him. Jim plays pretty sporty.
I tired out and turned him over to Larry Lassitter.
All in all it was a good day. Jim is a nice person to play pool with.

Thanks Bruce but your still the champ. Not enough O's in smooth to discribe your stroke, I was able to beat Larry (best banker in Denver) in rubber match.

I only wish I could find my game early rather then when you get tired of whooping me.

Thanks again for the good time, Felts is a great pool room.

You know there's so many good players on AZ who seem like great guys, one of these days, if time allows, I would love to make a road trip and play some of them. Seems like I've always got too much stuff to do.

When I finally get my GF over here from the Philippines, I want to take her around the country. That would be an ideal time to hook up with some of you guys. I'm not the player I once was but I can still run a rack occasionally. :wink:

If you would like to make a date with me for the future, let me know via PM, with your contact info. My preference would be guys who live west of the Mississippi, maybe even west of Denver. I doubt that I would go back east, unless that is on a later trip. I love the western U.S. It's so scenic.

You Know Jay....California Is a Great Place To Tour

In September, the Mess West Tour stopped in Fresno and held a tournament and some young fellow from Hungary took 1st place........what an awesome break......he was like Vinny in the Color of Money when Newman heard Cruise's thunderous break......it seemed like this kid averaged 2 balls on the break.....frequently made 3 and even pocketed 4 balls once or twice.....I can't recall him coming to the table after breaking where he had to deal with any object ball being tied up......the balls hit rails bounced off & hit more rails and just never seemed to wind up in a cluster or being tied up in some fashion. It was just great to watch and I got to see him play again in Fresno last weekend (11/22 & 23) at the Dan Dadian Memorial Tournament which unfortunately he didn't win but Oscar Dominquez did.

Felt is a real nice room but the real old time gem is Hanks.
Also I am an old timer from the NY/NJ area and can talk about the players from the '60s on.
I just might have a few nuggets to add to your vast knowledge of the games history.

Measureman you and Jay would get along just fine. I got to meet Jay last year at a party after the M-cup, I have a feeling the stories that you two could trade would be interesting.
