*** Official Day Three Mosconi Cup Updates

This is it for usa lol this half ass team isn't coming back from a 9 5 deficit

They look like the Bad News Bears today...very weak sauce. You can't expect anything short of a miracle from here.

Europe is very talented and that's with no Soquet, Immonen or Hohmann. USA is stunted last few years. No big tour and no money. Europe has more true professional talent. Nothing happening in US to cultivate world class talent.

I love 9-ball as a game, but I will never understand why calling the 9 is not standard practice. It is supposed to be a game of precision, so why allow such luck.

Americans losing so badly that they had to postpone the last match so there are more to play before It ends tomorrow.

I think you nailed it. I won't be watching tomorrow, will be away from the 'puter.

9-5 would take a miracle to overcome.

So should only the 9 have to be called and not the others?

The postponed match, may result in SVB getting more table time tomorrow. I would love to see SVB bringing his best game.

In the last shot of the match Neils throws his cue on the table and it looked like it was going to hit the cue ball but the ref picked up the stick before that happens.

Matchroom has got to be so pissed off. Mark Wilson or no, the Americans just can't hang with the Europeans.

It's also called blocking. They have 4 hour window, and its up against the time so not enough to hold a last match. I don't disagree with your Americans can't hang comment, Europe is certainly a stronger team but they aren't going to postpone because of the score.

They were up against a hard break in television terms.

When do Pool Players STOP supporting piss-in games?? It teaches bad form and practice habits... You get what you deserve playing 9 ball piss in anything type games.... The US is playing bad enough as it is. Plus no one, in professional pool likes to win (or lose) with this format. The 'I don't care-flip a coin' attitude that 9 ball (Texas Express) offers is NOT good for pool or NATIONAL PRIDE.

Make Change happen now!!...We (pool players) are the only way to better this sport and learn to practice (Perfect Practice) a professional level game. Stop supporting garbage pool. Just my opinion.

As bad as I sounds, Europe could put a "B" team out there that would still beat the Americans. Bottom line is that they are "professionals" and the Americans (with the exception of SVB) are all just "very good players". Too bad, for a while it looked as though this was going to be a competitive MC.

SVB and Hall on the team next year with some new guys.

I think Archer can still play.

Schmidt played good in the warm up, but has dogged his brains out since.
Corey just doesn't have it (anymore!?!), I don't know for sure.
Bergman need seasoning or something. He is so careless, which is fine playing a 1,000 set. Not so much in a race to 5 on the Mosconi Cup team.

Just my opinion. I know someones gonna be upset by it. I do understand the next one is a year away. Possibly Bergman can bring his game up a ball. I don't think hes a bad teammate at all. His body language seems bad, but I realize thats just him.

I wouldn't mind at all if this went to 10ball. Actually, I'd like it better!

yes, they are. we all knew that EUR wouldn't sweep today - cause it has to go into tomorrow. Barry's not in the mood to refund 1200 tickets for Day 4 (like last year).

EDIT: sorry - i'm signed in under KK9.

But they went beyond 4 hours both of the first two days.

Yeah I think it clearly was about having enough matches tomorrow, rather than limiting the time today.

They'll be lucky if they get more than one tomorrow.

Archer played terrible last year. In some ways I hate to say this, but if Earl could control his big mouth, I would love to see him on next years team.
