I do agree. I watched yesterday's match of Neils and Bergman. One of the commentators used the telestrator to show how Neil's would be playing safe, it wasn't even close.

Nikos open the match with a wet break and has a good layout. Runs them out for a 1-0 lead over Shane.

Europe leads 1-0 and is just four racks from winning the cup. SVB to break the next rack.
 
All the pressure is on Shane. If Nikos plays good I put him as a slight favorite here just because of the pressure differential.... Nikos looks relaxed taking a 1-0 lead after winning the lag.

The commentating has been, ahem, a bit heavy on the "color" side of things.

IMO, there should always be one guy in the booth who plays the sport being covered as well as the guys out there. Being a fan and/or amateur player is not a good enough qualification. You need someone with the "expert" knowledge and experience to knowledgeably commentate on what might happen and what the players are thinking and feeling.

Shane plays a pretty bad safe on the 2 ball and Nikos comes with a much better safe. Shane lets the 9 ride with a hard 2 rail kick... Open table for Nikos.

Nikos plays a 8-4 combo but the 4 ball rolls in after the 8 leaving him no shot at the 5... Attempts a bank but to no avail... 1-1

since theyre likely to lose very soon i would pay to see shane ask team europe to play some for a large sum
 
Shane breaks wet in rack two but has no shot and his safety is a poor one. Nikos reply just good enough and Shane is behind in this exchange. Shane hits the two but sells out the two. Not a simple layout, but Nikos has what I'd call a 70% runout. goes wrong onto the five and misses a long bank, selling out.

A well timed gift for Shane and it is 1-1.

Hopefully, this will prove a momentum swing in favor of Team USA.
 
Nikos made a major mistake on the 4-8 combo position. He needed to get some angle on the shot so he could play the cue ball to the cushion on a softer shot. Instead, he got straight and played the shot with draw and enough speed that he also pocketed the 4.
