what kind of English or stroke is used to make this bank????

Hey I remember that shot:wink: Center. with about a half of tip of left. I've seen him make that more times that I want to remember. He used to make the same shot 3 times across also.Same shot, just setting a little different. John B.

PS: if you like bank pool,I think that would be a great match to watch. I think we both played real good in that match. There is one game on this dvd that I will never forget:wink:

Thanks for responding John. Now I'm going to have to order the DVD. Now I'm curious. Lol

John,

Is the left here more to get the CB out of the way, or do you think it adds a little to the spin being put on the OB by the cut induced spin?

btw: That 3 railer sure would be a good weapon in 1-pocket.

He also could of slightly played the round of the pocket point. Because, what caught my attention was how much spin was still left' :) on the object ball when it hit the second rail, causing the ball to hit the foot rail before entering pocket.

As John said, it can also go three times into the opposite corner. There is a YouTube video of Scott Frost practicing that shot. I believe it was against Louis Ulrich.

The principle is the same as a crossover center pocket double or triple bank, except in that case, the CB is not coming back into the path of the OB.

In that situation, either shot can be made without any english, the cut induced spin can be enough to execute the shots. A lot of it comes down to knowing how the rails react on a particular table. A grippy shortening table makes some weird doubles and triples available.

The left allows you to cut the oball up the table just a hair so that you don't get the double kiss and then the left also helps the oball come back. ( there is quite a bit of "cit" with these types of shots.( that's why I mention center cabll:wink:) that you will be using. John B.
