I would very much like to watch the Derby stream, but as a productive human I don't have all day to sit around and watch matches live. I would need to watch them on demand. And furthermore, I would love to watch U.S. Open matches, etc., but why on earth would I buy a DVD? Maybe if I wanted to snort rails off the DVD covers and I ran out of small mirrors I would buy a DVD. Other than that, I prefer to leave them in 1997. I would like to watch any and all things on PPV, on demand, when I ,the customer, have time to watch it. Other than piracy or whatever, is there a good reason a lot of places don't do PPV? That includes TAR. Are they afraid people will just post to Youtube or something? They could do that anyway with stream capture stuff I would think. Now, go ahead and bash me as an entitled dickweed.

Maybe not entitled...!

It takes a pretty significant investment to completely rework a business model. I am not sure the juice is worth the proverbial squeeze, at this point.
 
Accu stats

I wish they had a monthly membership like netflix. I'd pay a reasonable amount per month to have access to the collection.
 
I buy the DVDs, but then rip them and add them to my digital library. I dont like not owning a copy of it. That said. I wouldnt mind having a digital copy I can dowload and keep like TAR does via Vimeo rather then DVD, until they offer that I will continue to buy the DVDs.
 
I agree. Digital download, PPV, or on demand would be great. It would be an investment initially to restructure, but they would definitely join the modern world and maintain the reputation of being the most professional billiards video production company in the US. And, in the long run, they would save tons of money on production, packaging, and shipping costs.

They could also allow
-download for additional fee so that those who cannot watch live or miss the match can download and keep copy
-monthly membership subscription fee that allows members to watch stream repeatedly without ability to download

I would love to see that too actually, but maybe on demand during the tournament, or even a reroll of video all day just like what TAR do, as a matter of fact, I've been missing 70% of the matches because of timezone, I catch up one game at the end of day for derby when it is actually 6:00am in my country and I have just woken up before going to work while drinking my coffee.

If they do the TAR way of rolling the whole day after it ends until the next day game begins, it would be cool, but I love accu-stats regardless cause timezone is not their fault, or mine, but its just there anyway :P

I do not mind the DVD stuff, i do hate the fact, that Banks and one pocket matches at DCC has been playing for two full days and none of them were streamed, what a loss.. It is what it is.
I do appreciate their efforts in the Big Foot challenge though..
