Is it left to right pivots on the right to left cuts and vice versa, or does it depend on the nature of the visual or angle perception?
A right cut can have a left or right pivot. Same goes for a left cut.

Clearly I don't completely, as I learned something in this thread already about re-establishing the perception from down in the shot. Which I think you referred to earlier in the thread as simply part of moving the cue to CCB, which Stan said it wasn't. So maybe you're still learning too.I thought you understood CTE?
Thanks for clarifying. I realized it was a bit of a dumb question after I posted it.A right cut can have a left or right pivot. Same goes for a left cut.

You know Colin, you keep pretending you understand CTE.
You can't adjust your perception when you are down on the shot.
The visual perception for the shot is done while you are standing, before you move into the shot.
This is basic CTE.
No wonder when you tried it the ball keeps going into the rail.
I never said anything about adjusting perception when down on the shot. .
Adjust FOR does not mean adjust the perception.Colin, does your brain go into meltdown when talking about CTE?
Here is what you wrote. The opposite of what you just said.
"So it's ok to re-check and adjust for the CTE / ETA perception when down on the shot with bridge placed.."
Looks like there's a lot of bridge tweaking and looking back and forth to the OB after the bridge has been placed to me.
Adjust FOR does not mean adjust the perception.
Do you need an ad hominem in each reply?
I know you guys think all questions are attempts to stir up CTE'rs or drag the system down, but if we don't ask questions, seems no one else will, be they beginner enthusiasts or users of CTE who have the odd question but don't want to seem like they are questioning the legitimacy of it.
Being prepared to answer questions, albeit, the odd silly one, has value in training those teaching it in being able to communicate the 'how to' and 'why' more effectively.
CTE, CTE/PRO1, 90/90 and SEE are God's gift to pool players. They "shouldn't be," but just "are."
CTE has been around for decades. It wasn't until pool forums came about when people started chirpin'.Man...it sure took God many many many decades to 'bless' pool players with His gifts.
I wonder what made Him wait so long & I wonder what made Him decide to finally give out the gifts.
But... I doubt that the 'gifts' that God ultimately did decide to give out 'shouldn't be' if God intended to one day give them out.
Or...are you saying that God created them later in order to circumvent geometry & physics.
If so...that would answer some questions.
Just a little fun, Dave.

I understand your question (better said i understand "why you ask this")
It is really difficult to "observe" from which direction the pivot comes or goes (if it s an *air pivot* like Stan is using- the "Pro-1" Pivot. ). This is just, because by using he "Air-Pivot" it s really like : let the eyes lead...and the body follows-
so for the right-hander it looks like he would use always a pivot from left to right- and for a left hander it would look like he would use always a pivot from right to left.
but there s a "small" differencejust hard to see/observe.
But i m sure Stan could explain it better than me. I m also still a bit limited by not using my mother language sometimes)
Maybe Stan puts up another Video, where he does all these shots with manual CTE (pivots).
Then it s really easy to observe.

Hi Stan,
If i have a 15 perception while standing, am I expecting the same perception when I bent down?
It should, correct?
Thanks!
Ratta,
Every shot was manual. With the lighting it is difficult to see.
