That is not an attack, Ozzy. I’m not sure how you read it as one. They are facts. It is not an opinion, they are facts.
I will reiterate… my team and I traveled very far for all of fall and winter to sanction for BCAPL events in accordance with your rules set forth in the BCAPL League Operator Manual, just as I’m sure nearly everybody sanctioning with the BCAPL does.
My involvement with the WSPA has nothing to do with my displeasure of reading how “leagues” are starting up and running one day “leagues”. One day sanctioning is a slap in the face to every BCAPL league that abides by your rules set forth in the BCAPL League Operator Manual. It is a slap in the face to ANY organized pool association, national or independent, for profit or not, that tries to promote league play.
You see the WSPA as a “competing organization” as you put it. We are not. Allowing one-day sanctioning undermines the growth of pool. You are now competing with yourself. Someone said it’s good that you are doing everything you can to get more bodies to your events. Sure, it is… but at the expense of the league structure? Didn’t Mark buy the “league” portion from the BCA and base an entire company on leagues?... He said it was a mistake that they sold it. You probably remember him saying that: it was during a CSI Podcast. Don’t lose sight of Mark’s goal of promoting league play by allowing one-day sanctions. It will cripple pool, and you know it.
