Chang Jung Lin shot a 100%, what is the cue?

rudeness

A guy comes on and asks what kind of cue someone is using. We all come on here and scour though every kind of cue we can find - because we love them. It's cue porn. Maybe he liked the design of the cue and would like to buy one. Maybe he would like one of the cue maker's on here (that make their living doing so) to replicate it, or use some of the design in a new cue. BUT NO - we can't just answer his questions. There has always got to be some uppity ***** that has to put him on blast for asking a question. If you don't have the answer - or you think he is a cherry that doesn't deserve your time - DON'T POST. It's that easy. It's no wonder that membership is dropping off here. This place is a pit of vipers. Do you guys really love pool? Stop driving members and potential members off so they will buy more memberships, buy more cues - and play more pool. Come on already. I bet Mike Howerton is not ecstatic when he sees this stuff going on. Just treat people the way you would want your son, wife, or daughter to be treated if they just came on here. * By the way - I declare the next person that uses the "It's not the arrow - it's the indian" quote, to be an ignorant , abusive slob that needs to get some new material.

I should be branded a troll also for popping up the question when, really, it's great pool that should be seen :). but forgive me because we can all recognize great pool, but most cant recognize a specific cue, unless they know it for sure. I could just share the link, but really, I was dying to know the cue.

Over 40 posts in this thread and only one guy and one post was able to address your question :embarrassed2:

I did not only post here but also asked a number of friends who I thought may know, and an AzBer from Singapore gave me "Lucky cues" also :)

cue

You should be able to ask without reservation. I only wish I had known the answer. Don't let responses here get you down. There are a lot of great people here. You will find them eventually. Good luck.

btw: i think this format is quite cool :) players have to be strong at all disciplines since they are drawn, good format and interestin. gonna watch some of these matches

I would like to know, what makes "this" instance so special. Many of people on her have come out and "just asked a question" and end up getting bashed and called names, this just adds to the level that this forum has dropped to. Yet for some reason "not that I disagree" I find the compassion is off the charts. Is it because you know the guy or is it the typical "well since i know the facts now i'll just come out on this side and be the good guy" politician style.

If asked loosely "i say again" I find the question/topic to point in a certain direction based on familiarness and be one that can or could of only be answered after the fact. Perhaps a "hey check out this video oh and by the way what a cool cue i wonder what it is, would like to have one" would of avoided the usual banter due to ignorance that is such a habit on this forum. Cause it's totally fine to bash someone for bashing someone because i'm on the side of good, I have no need to phrase "my" own words properly because of that also.

The most hilarious thing I recognized here at AZ is whenever someone praises a pro to be unbeatable, it's like a "play" button for some guys to jump in and replay his old tape about "put him on a long race with Shane bla bla, I will put money on Shane bla bla". It's like a bunch of conservatism guys who feel the need to put American Pool on the top of the world anytime anywhere and the only argument they can hang on is "play shane in a long race". Btw, not a buzz from these guys during and after the CSI Invitational. Oh wait, I'm not sure, maybe some still mumured "play Shane in a race to 100" lol

+1 on everything you just said. Well worded.

Really, it's a good format when one of the world class players doesn't get a decent opportunity throughout a match?

It further confirms to me that 10 ball and of course 9 ball and 14.1 are all dying games.

Imagine traveling to and paying to see Tiger Woods play golf and he gets one safety shot. But I guess we did get to see about 70 shots that a good 10 year old could play during that match.

The match was awesome...... Thank you for posting it. I think the Taiwanese are doing something right with they're players . Talk about being able to put a strong MC team together  They would be devastating imo but I don't know how they would handle the "mob" environment . I'm sure it's something one would have to get accustomed to. In a professional environment like they are accustomed to.... I think they're the best on the planet.

Don't say that or someone will jump in and says "let him play with Shane a race to 100" ...

one player didn't have a chance because his opponent was flawless, that's it, it's not about format

I do think the Taiwanese are so good because of the format here, short races require them to play at highest level of their game right off the start, you can see even the lags were almost perfect. Chang Yu Lung and Chang Jung Lin even had to re-lag in the final.

They all know that if they give their opponent a chance, they wouldn't come back to the table, that's why they have to perfect their game from the break to potting and safety.

They played easy shots that kids can play because their previous positioning shots were perfect, they all link.

Thank you sir.

I have in fact got to know great people here. and honestly I don't let nonsense stuffs bother me one bit.

Cuong.

haha it's so true buddy.

I must again say that I love all good pool players, and I look up to how Shane plays his game and learn that. but I have great admiration for Taiwanese players also and have followed them to see how they got so strong. and why and how they use conventional cues instead of LD's

IMHO, Another reason why they are so good is peer group effect. Most of them know each other well and play, train, spar together regularly. They learn from each other at same time try to outperform each other so there is always a rivalry which spurs them on.
I think Chang Yu Lung was asked last year during W9B about his rise to be elite player and he said one reason is he trains, spars with Chang Jung Lin and Ko Pin Yi regularly. :D

For the record - I do not know this member. I just remember how I was treated when I started posting. It was bad enough that I almost ended my membership. Nothing special about this situation that caused my reaction. I just think that it was time that someone said what I said. With a lot of people saying that pool is dieing - we need to change. I love pool and want it to be here in the future.
