Cuebuilders that worked with Pete Tascarella

Thanks for the support

Thanks for the support folks. My response to Joe could have been handled differently but I didn't appreciate his condescension or pompous "interpretation." My "thin skin" may be more due to the fact that I expect a sense of professionalism and guidance particularly in the cue maker section. In the past I've typically had great guidance and my interaction with Joe won't ruin my expectations.

I've never had a "strike" before so it's not a huge deal. I agree that it's somewhat heavy handed but in the interest of the community it's not a big deal.

I actually do share Joe's sentiment that we can move on. The answer to my question was "no one else has worked with Pete." See how simple that was Joe ;)

Joe,

Respectfully, YOUR "assessment" was unnecessary. You don't know the OP. You were reading into something that you couldn't possibly know. It's obvious he didn't really understand cues like you and I do and was looking for some guidance.

Some time ago I used to "read into" threads as well but now if I can't offer what the OP needs, even if I'm sure I'm reading into correctly, I just don't respond. It's the newer, softer side of Skins... You should try it. You'll be a happier person...

Perhaps it may have been "unnecessary" but I was being humorous and some may not share my humor. I'm a very happy person all the time because nothing is worth getting angry over anymore.

I feel the same way, no need to turn another person off to the attitudes of people who play the game and want it to thrive. I understand Joe has to deal with his share of morons being in sales, as I do as well, but a little respect goes a long way and biting the tongue never killed anybody. If I want to make a point I'll post in a new thread my issue, not actively seek and try to devalue another members post. That is unless it is so far over the top it is needed. Just my .02. Tom

"Joe has to deal with morons"
is an understatement but we get through it all. I though this post was over the top and shared my opinion of it and I still stand by it. He didn't need to ask on a public forum who can build him a similar cue as he later mentioned every cue maker who can. He could have called Tascarella and asked him who worked under him. Who would know better.

And lastly, I wasn't being condescending or pompous; we save pompous for the Alaskan know-it-all. You took my statement too hard; that's all.

There is one maker who worked with Pete but he is just as expensive and the wait is equally as long but that doesn't matter at this point since you know who can and can not do the job as you previously stated.

Well, I'm outta here as it's Friday and I wish all of you a fantastic weekend. Enjoy the snow as it's over 50 here.

Have a good weekend Joe

Thanks for clarifying the humor Joe; it's tough to pick up on those nuances when it's written. Enjoy the warm weather.

Glad to see "alls well that ends well". The one thing I hate about posting is sometimes it is difficult to relay sarcasm or humor if someone else doesn't know your personality. GL with your search Ram
