One of the guys playing today brought out an old piece of chalk that we had never heard of. Brand name is Takane any special about it?

Chalk

Masters or Blue Diamond for me, thanks

I tried some magic chalk the other day, it seems to have a slightly better grip or to be able to put more spin on the cue ball.

It is not clayish like the kamui chalk either.

Normally I use masters but I do like magic chalk better.

Use Masters or Triangle

I remember the old Kieckhefer Triangle chalk. Haven't used it in 30 years. Is the current Triangle somewhat gritty and a bit messy as I remember the old Kieckhefer Triangle chalk?

Thought it might have an application during humid weather.

P.S. Why do so many Snoooooooker players use Triangle?

chalk

I have some on order, Mike. Only reason I ordered some was the occasional reference by users that it may keep my cloth cleaner.

Thoughts?

Bob if you dont like it, shoot me a PM. I will buy it from you.

I don't know allot about chalk, I have used the normal brands, but the magic chalk seems like it has more grip.

It doesn't seem as powdery as masters or blue diamond.
I have no idea if the chalk is less messier.

Nah, I'll hang on to two cubes anyway.

This Rusky/South American/North American/German/Chinese mystery stuff's gotta be pretty good.

At least it's square and blue.

It will

It will reduce the amount of chalk that is on your table, it really is great stuff.

In the UK, Triangle works better than Master.
I can shoot whitey froze on the rail with a level cue using Triangle...
...with Master, gotta jack or will miscue.
It's probably the dampness...I prefer Master in dry climates.

...gonna have to try some Magic

Geezalou, can't wait to get mine. This chalk has it all!
