This Cue Gets Everyone's Attention

Mr. Sureman, this cue will be making a 1 way trip to the show......someone will jump on this opportunity.

Beautiful cue Don.
Try some new pics to capture the veneer colors better, they are hard to see.

Troy, is this another way of saying that Don's pics suck? haha

No offense Don, I lead the way when it comes to shitty pics.

Great cue and even if you were the best photographer on the
planet, it still would do this cue no justice. I hope I make it to the
expo and see it in person before someone scoops it up.

Would love to see this cue in flesh, I'm sure it's perfect in so many ways... Can anyone lucky enough to get close to this cue take some pictures for us? :)

also includes Whitten 1x3 case. yes pictures are poor, I apologize for that, getting reflection from overhead lights. not able to take outside pictures @ 10 below zero. believe this, cue is in excellent condition & perfect in every way. thanks for all the positive & negative remarks. visit booth # 208 to see in person. regards, don "the SUREMANATER" Sherman aka Sure Man Cues

Well, this cue's appearance is sure one that would fit in nicely with my collection and I haven;t sent Don a PM about this cue because I'm afraid to ask.
Mark has a gorgeous Szamboti cue on his site that I've never inquired about because I'm also afraid to ask him about a price.

My reluctance about checking on how much it would take to land one of these cues is because I'm afraid I'd figure out a way to justify the tab and so I
have a hunch what it would take.......probably have to sell my Scruggs to get it done.....that's why I haven;t called Bill Grassley recently because I know
myself and I'll touch bases about the Hercek MOP cue again and wind up buying it.

I really do not want to buy another cue until after my next rotator cuff surgery later this year. It would be absolute torment to spend that kind of money for
one of those great cues or some equivalent cue to only have it it in a case because of my arm surgery. Nope, the next cue will ahve to be post surgery
because doing it the other way is just unnecessary mental anguish as far as I'm concerned.

Getting back to this Searing cue, As far as I'm concerned, there's little to find fault with in terms of this cue's design and I think it's a dandy........classical,
simple yet elegant.....I love the rings. Personally, I'd never have ordered this wrap but it is what it is and Searing's leather wraps are supposedly the best.

Assuming that you mean you already have A LOT of cash to add to the Scruggs sale because if not I'm thinkin you'll have to get closer to selling ALL of your cues in your signature to be in the ballpark....

Skins......You may be right but I don't think so.... Frankly, I think you've underestimated the probable value of the cues in my collection or else you've overestimated the selling prices of the other cues I mentioned.
While I will concede my collection of pool cues is relatively small, but there's a lot more aggregate cue value there than you've alluded to.

p.s. My Bushka Tribute cue is on track to arrive next month.......The progress pics Jerry sent a couple of weeks ago are amazing.

I have not underestimated your cues Matt... I know what they're worth and have a better than good idea what they'll collectively sell for... Oops forgot to add, I have a good idea what the Searing will sell for as well...

Searing Cue Values Are Tough To Get Right

I think I have a good feel for Hereck cue values and Szamboti cue values still challenge me a little, however, Searing cue values are a puzzle for me.

There are so few sales that I don't have much of a read of how the secondary resale market prices Searing cues. Sure, I know Searing cues are in demand simply because of the law of supply and demand but assigning accurate values is tough.

The Searing cues I spot that I like I'd rate very high in price and some others, well, I just have to question the seller's asking price as being unrealistic. Furthermore, in my opinion, every seller overestimates the value of the cue for sale and buyers never pay the listed price, not in today's marketplace. But the same could probably said about cue collectors assigning sentimental values to cues in their collection. Until the cue sells, it hard to be certain about prices.......full price still happens but it takes a long time from what I've seen.....a very long time.......and I still harbor doubts that the ones I'm thinking about actually sold for the listed asking price........sale thread prices get deleted so one never knows.

In general, I think $5,000 - $8,500 should fetch a lot of cue in today's secondary market but I don't know how Searing cues stack up versus Szamboti or Hercek cues. I think Don Sureman has a Searing cue that will awe people in person and this one should sell at the show......the design is genuinely a classic look.
