My back went out again 3 days ago. This time just from dumping about 30 LBS in the garbage. I think it's time to start doing my bucket list before I'm not able to. Seems like half of every month I can't play because of some health problem. Sick of it. Johnnyt

That sucks, sorry! I hurt my back in the gym a couple weeks ago and tried to play though it...after a four hour stint at the table I couldn't stand up straight until the next day. Back problems are tough for playing pool.

I hear ya Johnny! Some days it's a chore just to get the bucket list out! That bucket seems awful heavy sometimes.

Wish I was closer to ya, sir.

It love to accidentally knock on your door in my pizza delivery outfit an ask, 'hey, is that a pool table I heard ?'

Sorry too hear about ur back hope it gets better and haha at blackballed

Johnny...may you get well soon. Fellow back sufferer here as well. 7 decades plus behind me sure lets me know there aren't that many left. Last bout I had, I told my wife I hated hobbling about in pain like an old man. I was too sore to figure out why she laughed.

But hey, don't worry about old age. I've been told it doesn't last long.

I like to tell myself that playing when I can helps keep the back working.

LOL. My wife laughs at me too. She says I'm lucky I made 40 years old...forget 74, with starting work on an icetruck at 12, street gang, boxing and weightlifting, stockcar racing, motorcycle nut, Army Cold Weather Special Forces, and 100's of bar and street fights, and marrying a younger woman. LOL. And she only knows about half of it. Johnnyt

Your comment reminded me of something

Black Balled,
Your comment brought back a memory. As a side business I do commercial lawncare. So this guy calls me and wants his leaves gotten up in his yard. So I go over there and he has a real mess and its going to take some time and I saw a bunch more work he had for me to do so I think well I dont have a lot going on right now I will give this guy a good deal and come back for a lot more and he and I talk about it and thats the plan.

So I work really hard on this job and he has so much leaves I break down and have to fix a belt and work 2 days on his job because of the break down and it comes to pay day and he says how much do I owe you.

Mind you for this type work your equipment waits all year and does nothing. Commercial Cutters charge $1 a minute minimum for cutting grass let alone Leaf Removal.

I had Im guessing 8 hrs in this horrible job but I keep it in context that I will get out on the backside getting more work and I say...$200

So he flys mad at me and pulls out his wallet and says I've got an old Victor Pool Table down there in the basement if you want to go down there and let me try to get some of that back.

I've got a real long fuse but that hit me wrong and I had a hammer in my hand and I threw it down beside where I was working on his driveway and say ok Mother....., $100 a game until you get it back and headed toward his basement and he sort of changed his mind! lol

Johnny, I know exactly what you are talking about. Better fill that bucket list before you 'kick" that bucket..

I've just retired and I guess Im starting to formulate my bucket list. I think first on mine is go get myself back into decent shape while I work on the list.

I'm sure there are a lot of you on here that knows exactly how difficult it is to try to do anything with back pain. Its even more frustrating to try and push through the pain when at the pool table. I have also dealt with this frustration. How many of us have run to our Dr. To get a shot, or whatever for pain? Sure it helped for a little but it did not address the cause of the pain. . For those of you that can, I would suggest going to see a chiropractor. I know there are those that will give a negative experience concerning Chiropractic but all I can say is that it has helped me tremendously. Chiropractic deals with the cause of the pain. Here's the thing to remember. Your not going to go to a CP, get an adjustment, and never hurt again. If your terribly out of shape can you go to the gym, exercise one time, never go back, and be in shape? Don't we all wish it worked like that. Its the same with chiropractic. It would take 4 pages for me to try and explain in more detail. You have nothing to lose but the pain!
