Would love to tune in, but might not able to watch, will this be recorded and uploaded later on? :)

WOW. great race between Frost and SVB. nice little battle going on :thumbup:

so it's confirmed that Shane won? cause Scott Frost contested it, while even the commentators called the 8-pocket.... i can't believe they didn't have a ref @ the table.

What was the controversy? I heard Scott talking about something in their match but couldn't figure what happened?

Shane had straight-in shot to the corner. Scott claimed he didn't call it. 2 refs were in the background but not officiating. Scott called them to the table ASAP for a ruling. even the commentators called the obvious shot.

Shane just unscrewed & walked away.

:sad::sad::sad::sad:

To me it looked like it was a knee jerk reaction to a very hard fought match. I think Scott realized quickly that he did not need to go there and didn't push it. I know how it feels to get barely beat, it stings. :wink:

i'm surprised it went hill-hill. this was my intro to Scott Frost. all i can add, is that if the situation were reversed - Shane would NOT have contested it.

(and i'm pretty sure that I was there....and i heard him call it!) :cool:

I think Frost was angry because Shane didn't let him take 2nd time out in match. Rules state one time out per match.

I was listening to stream and caught the tail end of a conversation, I believe it was Scott Frost, he stated that he was annoyed about taking a break or something so that fits.

Silly.

If it's call shot, you better call it with all these ("I'll WIN ANYWAY I CAN) babies around. Why lose $1000's of dollars when you don't call it, Johnnyt

Because it's NOT call shot on obvious shots. That's been the rule and is still the rule in 8 ball as well as this tourney. I never saw SVB call a shot, but then again, most of his shots were perfect position, so there was not much need to ;)

I understand all that, but what I'm saying is with no ref around and more players looking for any way to win, I think Shane should point at the pocket no matter if it's 1 foot from pocket. Johnnyt
