Fun

Bump...............

Guys wake up......When's the first or last time you ever heard of a double elimination tournament, with 84 players start right before NOON and be down to the Finals @ 8PM?

No one said a peep about that......

AnyWho;

Imagine, fourteen brand New Diamond bar tables, with Great lighting and six players per table. All tables start at the same time, quite a sight. Oh yeah, the score sheets have player numbers Only written in. Each group of players must then interact and write in their names. So for the next hour and a half, your hanging with many people you never knew before ......that my friend is ''what pool/life is All About''.

Four Chances

Bump......

Double/double elimination.

Within each player group....each player has two chances to advance. Once you get knocked to the B side of brackets, you'll have another two chances Again within that Player Group to stay in, Advance....and get to the Final Table $$$$.

Your likely to make a new friend or two with this format.

Fyi

Bump......no hotel, no matches late at night, and no Sunday play, anyone approve of this?

Final Bump

Vidal, ATM, Haddad....don't have the best of it with this format. I'd be surprised if they showed...... It'll be like being on the Titanic....

Not going to happen in 8 hours. The format and rules are way too complicated and there will be more arguing over rules that will slow it down.
this is a silly format.
I would be surprised if you get 20 players.

I felt the same way but after doing four events, my opinion completely changed.

Actually the two ring game tournaments ran in the Los Angeles were a hugh success and more are planed.

No one has a decisive advantage in a ring game and that's the reason there were so many entries. The tournament basically runs it's self shortly after it starts and the players quickly get adjusted to the rules of play.

And yes it can be run in a timely manner because the operators have complete control of the time table for all rounds. Which is one of the reasons they are successful. A tournament with a lot of players that can be run in one day. A lot of players will have second thoughts about entering a tournament that will take away their complete weekend.

One of the things the players liked was that there was no waiting between matches and the fact that the games were total offense. I have no doubts that this tournament will be a success..

Final Bump

Hope ta see ya all this weekend, I'm running the event, I first created this 12-18-04 during my working years, every thing one dislikes about tournament play has been removed Except Luck...... It'll be "Adult Juvenile behavior" at it's best :). Either your playing or your out NO waiting around. If you get knocked out in the second round, it's only 4pm. Winners side plays two rounds to get to the final table, losers side plays 3 rounds to get to the final table. It's a double elimination board. No matter which side of the board your on, two players from each player Group Advance to the Final table, where all the cash lies.

Good luck to all.
