Mika's 224 from DCC

Mika 224

Anybody see this yet?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l91zs-QOQpQ

It looks like 190 people have viewed it so far.

Compared to 1176 who have viewed Shaw's 227 so far.

Mika is almost as fast and I think his patterns are better.

He also did a 100 and a 112 that we will be putting up. His match against Stepanov was very strong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2_HUdGTutk

But he did not get much of a chance against Chinakhov who played quite well.

Stever: Let's not get carried away. I just happen to like 14.1. Don't know why but I am bent that way.

The vids are the fruit of the labor of all the sponsors, me, Marop, Dana, and all the guys who help us there, Edgar, Stan the Banker, Rich93 when he is fit, longhair, and a few other guys.

Enjoy.

IMHO, he is the best at bumping balls into more useful positions. And, his ball pocketing ability speaks for itself. Some player...

That was a nice and clean run. I noticed he didn't chalk up much and it looked like he was using an extension on his cue.

I second both of these opinions.

I watched the first half (and the ending -- I have a morbid curiosity in how these great runs end ...). I was struck by not only the pace and cueing skills, but also by the amount of risk that he was willing to take on a few occasions, going into balls or letting the cue ball loose a bit. It seemed that he was almost casual. Maybe that's the nature of his play in these high run challenges. Maybe he became more conservative as the run extended.

I was surprised at the unnecessarily difficult leave that he created for himself at the 7:21 mark. I guess these guys can't be expected to be perfect. It's just that when they execute shot after shot as strongly as they do, to see a slip like that makes me say "Wow."

thanks to everyone who makes 14.1 DCC challenge possible, who helps and volunteers during the runs, who makes recording and who shares the videos! Dennis, your love to 14.1 is uncomparable!
