One Year Ago Today

Last time I played a rotation game I had to write "1,2,3,4,5...." on my bridge hand so I wouldn't get lost.

But no, SP, I really I have no interest in playing CJ anything. Playing JB showed me that matches like this is to enter a world of madness. Don't need to do it. Besides, as I've said, it would just aid and abet CJ in his spinning up his PR machine into hyper-drive.

Translation: I am a lock artist who doesn't think the last 5 balls are enough of a spot. However, 8 balls might change my mind. After all, I play sooo good, no one would give me a game in California.

I don't have a single person in ignore. Not sure I even know how to do it. People with ignore lists (when they looooooove to dish it out) are total vaginas, in every sense of the word, down to the very smallest quark and lepton.

Product of users of the ignore list.

You seem upset. Do you need a hug?

Not upset, just calling a spade a spade, as usual.

Lou isn't like other members here, constantly posting to promote themselves, which in turn promotes their product. Lou isn't like them, because Lou doesn't have a product. So, the fact that you and others are calling a spade, a spade, is unnecessary. You don't like Lou, we get it.

Lou created this thread, self promotion or not, because it had been 1 year since one of the biggest troll fests known to AzB. You all can hate on Lou and JB, but they both put up the money, regardless of whose money was being put up. They both went on a stream to be seen by all. They both accepted that they will be criticized by all. So, the fact still remains, that your posts and the others from the Critic Crew are highly unnecessary and were made to stir the pot.

You can call a spade, a spade, without being the one shouting "Look at me, I called him a spade!"

I don't know about you guys, but I'd play the Devil himself with the break and the last 5.

As long as the Devil isn't trying to promote his DVD, I'd play too.

Lou isn't promoting himself? What's this thread about?

....As long as the Devil isn't trying to promote his DVD, I'd play too.

Lou is of course free to play, or not to play who ever he wants. I didn't mean to criticise him for not playing CJ, just making a general observation. Personally, I'd play him even if he sold Roseanne Barr sextapes with me photoshopped into them. I mean seriously, who cares what he's selling. I'm pretty sure Lou would murder him with that spot, hard to sell tapes with that as an advertisement.

I'm trying to envision a scenario where someone who is a competent player loses with that spot, and all I can think of is some kind of racking shenanigans. With a neutral racker, rack your own or magic rack it's pretty much a lock. Nothing is impossible, but a bad loss with that spot, and I'd quit pool forever.

A buddy at the pool hall asked me about JB yesterday -- whether I'd heard from him as of late. And I said no, that he'd left AZ and was doing unknown things but that in my fantasies, I thought about him going off to "The Cruel Tutelage of Pai Mei," (like in "Kill Bill") and had been studying 1pocket for months on end under some master 1pocket sensei, so that one year later he would come back and re-challenge me to avenge his honor....

But alas, that was not so.

So anyways, I looked at the date of our original match and realized it'd been exactly one year. I hope he and family are doing well.

Seems like it's about the match between Lou and JB...

I'm NOT saying that is not a very generous spot, but SVB did outrun it against a guy, and what appears to be a pretty good shortstop. Forgot his name, maybe it was Scooter ?? Granted, it's a tough spot to turn down, and gets guys in action that would not generally do it.

humming quietly to himself to make the "truth" go away. LoL

This may be the most accurate post in the entire thread....certainly the funniest. :groucho:

I also have no idea how to use the ignore option, it's like stuffing cotton in the ears and humming quietly to himself to make the "truth" go away. LoL

Maybe Lou would like to play Dorthy some even one-pocket

CJ, everybody knows Lou don't rotate. You should at least challenge him at his best game. I'm sure he'd consider stepping up if the right spot was offered.

Asking Lou to gamble playing 9-ball is like Efren asking you to play chess for a big stack in the middle.

When you go back and look at the first game I offered, it was to play him even and use a "jump cue" on every shot......this is a tremendous spot, whether you "real eyes" it or not.

Maybe Lou would like to play Dorthy some even one-pocket. That "sweet little girl" would probably give him a ball (he'd need two) before it was over.

I'd hate to take advantage of Lou, although if we did play he would melt like the wicked witch in the 'Wizard of Oz'. LMAO!!!

But you admire CJ, a former "world champion" (just ask him) now reduced to hawking DVDs and calling out amateurs on internet pool forums?

lol - I know I'm impressed...

For being a pro on this forum CJ sometimes your posts don't reflect the conduct I would expect from someone with your background and experience. I know you guys have a history but that is besides the point. I went back to check and the post below is your first post in this thread. Before you reply with "I was just joking or funnin...you know a post like that is going to initiate a response from Lou and therefore the dialog is going to turn into mud slinging by both sides. Oh well, I am sure you have your reasons. Happy Friday everyone.

I agree, John had so much to offer the forum, it's a shame he decided to be exclusive on Face Book....hopefully that will change in the near future.

Too bad we can't trade Lou for John, and throw in a set of balls.

Give me a break. Should he have to stand in the corner?

You're fortunate he posts here and if you studied what he teaches, it would likely make you a better player.

Speak for yourself.

His new age platitudes, cute internet meme pictures and passive-aggressive bickering don't seem all that educational to me. Not all that professional either.

Give me a break. Should he have to stand in the corner?<--Yes, that would be preferable to what he does !

You're fortunate he posts here and if you studied what he teaches, it would likely make you a better player.<--Good to see his entire fan club, is out in full force today :o

If your goal is to go from an APA3, to an APA4, than yes, CJ can help you..(except for all the T.O.I, and the "Game is the Teacher" BS)..For all around informative quotes on pool sense, I'll take Patrick any day !..At least PJ doesn't waste 4 out of 5 posts, talking about 'wicked witches' and other hilarious stuff like that !

PS..Also, trying to embarrass amatuer's like Lou, does NOT impress me, or anyone I know ! :sorry:

PPS..Heres another sensible point of view...

Not at all, did I say that or would you like to start putting words in my mouth and making assumptions on what I meant?

He came into this thread to start a posting jab fest, or are you unable to see that? This thread had absolutely nothing to do with him, now did it? Obviously you are on his side and hate Lou so no need for me to even respond anymore, it is what it is. I could care less really, just have noticed a pattern on a lot of CJs posts the last year (not all of course).

And what do you have on your professional pool resume regarding experience or accomplishments?

Oh, here it is: " I didn't start playing regularly (several times a week) until about 20 years ago. Since I retired a few years ago I've reached obsessive-compulsive level, playing just about every day."

pj

About 20 years ago means you didn't even start playing until you were 45-47 years old in 1995. Pro players usually start losing their focus and motivation by that time and have 30 years under their belt playing pool when you just basically got started.

Three years later in 1998 after playing a whopping twice a week and still on training wheels, you were the resident expert on RSB telling everyone how the game should or shouldn't be played as well as telling Hal that he had no idea what he was talking about regarding CTE.

It was only within the last couple of years when you picked up your playing time after 65 years of age. It hasn't stopped you from being the resident "expert" or leading everyone to believe you are. On top it you're still doing everything in your power to discredit CTE as your life mission to save the world.

You couldn't carry CJ's cue case then, now, or in the future. All you are is an old man just getting started in pool who has a big mouth and massive egomania.
