Pure X Technology HXTE20 Pool Cue

Looks like just a cue with a Players HXT shaft on there. Not a bad shaft, I recently picked one up cheap. Very nice feel and stiff hit, not particularly low deflection or anything, but a solid playing shaft.

Not a bad cue. The bummer part is that they're randomly from 17oz to 15 oz without the weight bolt. I had a 20 oz (only one I could find), that I was hoping to get down to 19, but with more forward weight. Took out the bumper and it had a 4oz weight bolt in the bottom, so I couldn't drastically make it more forward weighted, unless I was willing to play with a 16 ish oz cue. Also the patterns are decals and just stuck on. They look pretty good, but there you have it.

That being said, the shaft plays great for the price, and you can't really beat a stock kamui soft tip.

If it weren't for the rear-weight, I'd love that cue. Right now I'm playing with a poison cue with a metal joint and I'm much happier.

Has anyone ever heard of these cues & are they worth the money or are they just entry level pieces of firewood, here's a link:

Very nice shafts, not very low deflection in the wider shaft, about in the middle of a standard shaft and a standard OB/Predator LD shaft. The 11.75 mm would be closer to the pricier LD shafts.

For feel, HXT shafts are better than just about every other LD shaft I've tried.

My son used the HXT 10 model, basically the one you linked with a wrap, I played with it, it was pretty nice.

I have an E10 model with the 12.75mm shaft and a HXT15 with the 11.75mm shaft (shafts are obviously interchangeable). They're both 19 oz and they play better than I do.The nice thing is that I don't have to worry about them getting beat up playing league in different bars and lifetime warranty on warpage. I really like the skinnier shaft if you have the option, I would go with the 11.75mm

Where is it made ?

If the cue was made in china , then the tip might be the most expensive part put into that cue.
Is it a sticker cue ?
You know some of those sticker cues look real nice right up to the point they start peeling.:speechless:

If you want a better made cue try the ones made in the USA

Actually these are not sticker cues. The points are real. They are actually really nice cues for the money, and you get a Kamui black tip on there too.

I had the linen wrapped version, the HXTE10. It's a good cue, especially for the money. The only reason I sold it was I discovered that I preferred wrapless cues and I got a deal on an OB121 that I couldn't pass up.

Why couldn't you just get a 3oz weight for it?

Good cues for the price, I have the HXTE10 and HXT15, both 12.75mm. Very good cues for the price, definately worth trying :)

I sell more of the HXT cues than any other cue, and with the 11.75mm shafts at a 3/2 clip over the standard 12.75mm shafts.

The HXTE20 model that the OP linked to would probably be my favorite model offered as well.

Very good value for the price.

Cool, glade to hear these cues are worth while buying.
I enjoy my custom cues, and solid maple shafts.
I would be looking for a used custom cue if it was me............

Great cue for the money really can't beat it and Rain-Man is the man to get one from

In number of cues this is probably the best selling brand we carry. Can't recall having an issue with
one of them yet that wasn't due to abuse. My personal choice of <$150 cue. That used to be the
Joss 101 but that has gone closer to $200. I also really like the entry level Vikings in that price
range but they hit too stiff for most people.

My HXTE10 (simply the linen wrapped version of the HXTE20) is a "decal" cue. I forget if it was on Seyberts or Player's website, but they weren't bashful about saying so. (it made no difference to me since I'm from the school that says a solid piece of wood is always better than something that's glued together)

In any case, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better cue for $150.
