I think Ray Schuler here in Chicago made carom cues when he was alive. I don't know if his shop still makes them or not.

What kind of cue do you have?

I believe Noel Mendoza has taken over Schuler Cue sin Chicago.

3/8-10 joint

Ask Josh, He has one of my Longoni Euro Taper shafts and one of my Dieckman modified shafts, he can copy. If you go with the Longoni traditional taper you could always have it re-tapered to a pool shaft. The Dieckman is almost universal but still stiffer than most pool shafts.

One thing I don't know is what his joint diameter is. Carom cues are usually a couple thousands over a pool cue. With a straight taper and a skinny joint you could end up with a slightly shorter length. I tried to do this with a Meucci a couple decades ago and it didn't turn out too good.

I can provide a carom shaft with the 3/8X10 thread, but need to know the joint diameter (my standard joint is 880 while most pool joints are 840) 28" length, 12mm tip, $130 including JP delivered in the US. www.caromcues.com

Noel Mendoza, who used to work with Ray Schuler has been carrying on his legacy and building Beautiful Cues and Shafts.
