Lambros cue reviews needed

Maybe

Then by your thoughts any buyer will really be screwed if Mike stops making cues huh?

I'd think any good cue maker can figure out how to reproduce a shaft for Mikes cues as long as they have the butt. It may cost ya a bit more but they can do it... Just don't need or want to if Mikes still building..

Maybe you will have better luck but when I ran it by a few cue makers they would not do it, one said it was for legal purposes. That was my experience, during a period Mike was not making cues for sale here in the States.

I've had the flat faced and Ultra joint. both good. really not much difference. Great balance, good finish. Crisp hit, lots of feel. If you can't play good pool with a Lambros it's because you don't know how to play pool :-)
buy one, you will like it. can't go wrong, if you buy a used one, you can get your money out easily.
Mike is a good guy.

You don't really "need" the pilot on the Ultra Joint, you can put a regular flat-faced 3/8*10 shaft on it and it plays just fine. Used to do it for people when they came to the Predator booth looking for shafts to fit their Lambros cue, it looks funny and seems counter intuitive but it hits perfectly fine.

I think the issue is that Mike has it on patent so theoretically no one is allowed to copy it but then again no one would ever know if you had someone else make you one. Also is just a standard 3/8x10 joint so a regular shaft would fit.

I tried putting an OB 3/8x10 on my Lambros. It kind of fits but not completely snug as the original shaft. Also the "hit" felt different so I just discarded it.

Sure if someone made the whole joint THAT would be a problem but to make just a shaft I'm not sure. I guess it'd be infringing but maybe not.. I know if I had one of Mikes cues and he wouldn't or couldn't make shafts anymore I would find out who has the rights to and if I found there was no one making them I would have one made by someone else if need be... Anyway the thread is about how his cues play and the OP has enough to go on..

I am a BIG fan of Lambros cues. They seem to be universally liked for their playability.
They are also very affordable compared to a lot of other high end cues with the same reputation for playability. Also, Mike is great to work with. Great cuemaker and delivers his cue when he says he will. I would HIGHLY recommend a Lambros cue.
