Sale section dead

I can sell or trade cues easily on craigslist but it is getting harder and harder to find any interest on azone sell section.

It probably should just be taken down and completely rethought out. It seems to be an important part of the forum but obviously is not working.

some poor guy just got took for $2500 on a sale. bought a sw and never got it. I got screwed on a trade recently. this is becoming the norm.

Yea I got screwed by a new guy also a short time back. Think the honesty level has dropped

Guys -

I hate that you have got screwed over. I agree that the "FOR SALE" section has really got screwed up. IMO, too much *****ing by folks who had nothing to do but *****.

I don't have much for sale, but my feedback is 100% here and 100% on ebay. I recommend dealing with folks that have some history behind them.

Secondly, if the seller will not offer money (or trade) back guarantee (less shipping), I wouldn't deal with them either.

I have probably sold 100 cues on AZ, now I don't even go on there.

Pretty sad.

I wish the best of rolls to everyone.

And only use PalPal, and do NOT gift it. If the sellers wants you to GIFT it, that's a sign he might want to screw you. It's worth telling the seller you will add a couple extra bucks to the transaction to cover the PayPal cost as insurance for yourself.

If you GIFT it, you are OUT OF LUCK. Because you just told PayPal there was no goods or services involved in the transaction, and thus, how can they recover something when you presented a free GIFT to someone.

any transaction where you decide to send a large amount of money to someone you dont know is too risky. they should be here for a long time and have good feedback and also you need to have a phone # and address for them and call in person.
and dont do bigger money deals with a newer person.

but then again the old saying a fool and his money will soon be parted.

Im on that section everyday and seen cues bought ,there is a FB site for cues I'm sure some are using it and the volume of potential customers has to be several times what it is here ,, i won't even consider buying from someone new

My wish was to just leave it alone in the first place. I have bought and sold a lot on here and never make any money. It's harder to make money with so many cues available.

So what if someone gets stuff bumped up because they say "nice cue".

Let's get the traffic back on this site, Facebook site is moving along way better and AZ is a much better site by far.

Bring it back, bump every 24 hours yourself and people can bump and comment on your thread anytime

Say the average person has a cue they want to sell. How do they do it with FB? Who see it, who even knows it is for sale?

Do you know how to find the site on FB of people selling high end cues

Open billiards market on Facebook. No membership required. Just an approval from the site moderator by a simple click of a button.

People who are members post and cues move like they did here before. Lots of Azers post.

I prefer AZ billiards, I hope the moderators care enough to get all sections of this forum back on track.

i think

it gets boreing when just a few people, post for sale, post for sale, post for sale, post for sale. i believe some dealers have ruined the for sale section.
i build cues and have sold a few on azb. i never bump my products, i think if people dont want it, im wrong in my design or pricing it too high.
but when i put somethin on for sale, then with-in an hour there are dealer's with 10 items on, then my product is on the 2nd page, its hard for someone that follows the rules to sell, they find other selling forums.

they are a few people, that act like used car or vacuum cleaner salesmen, that have screwed-up what once was a really nice place to move a few cues.

well, cues are sitting there too. Bottom line, is folks don't price their items correctly. You can't get the cue prices of yesterday, it's a new market, and folks that wanted to make a "profit" are a little pizzed they will only break even, or even lose in some cases.

I think the problem is the cues are priced to high on here. Lets face it, there are still tons of people on this site and you are going to tell me they don't browse the For Sale section? I am always on here and I always look at the For Sale section. If there is a good deal or fair price than things will get sold.

The problem is not AZB it is Facebook. They have position themselves greatly on the internet. Everyone has a FB and eventually everyone will be on FB. AZB is not the only ones dealing with these issues. Other sites are too.

If the For Sale section never changed, people would still eventually migrate to FB, for the reasons I've mentioned above.

If you want to support pool and AZB than post on here. Lately, we've been getting people that complain who haven't been on this site in years. If you stuck around then perhaps we wouldn't have these problems.

I agree with you 100 percent. Cues need to be priced right, it's just that it isn't happening on AZ and now with the current rules the traffic has all left.

Pretty much the same cues FS here and bumped like clock work every 48, and bumped and bumped. Some of the cues have been bumped for months straight. You would think the sellers would get a clue, or , are they patiently waiting for a newb sucker to rake?

The FS/FT section was way better when I joined. Allot more action and rotation of good priced product. However, that 'insider' constant bumping pushed it a bit too far to mods.
