Does anyone know how the show is doing for ratings? or how many people are watching it?
Thanks,
That's a great question. Would like to know myself.
I would gander the initial ratings are respectable, due to the novelty of the show.
I personally have watched only two of the episodes.
To be honest though, I have already lost interest.
Don't get me wrong: I enjoy the raw interplay between the players and
the intermittent interviews that helps viewers to stay focused on the backstories,
during the show, but I find that as a pool purist, the
"barking" gets old.
It's as if I want the players to get down to business and throw
down a serious race to 11.
I hope that many non-pool players (pool players alike) beg to differ.
Nonetheless, I support the show and hope it continues to run; Lord knows we need the exposure.
The show is probably exactly what a non-player would imagine a pool hall to be like among the gamblers, so I'm guessing it is getting a good share of non-players that are interested.
I'm waiting for the first mass of people to start going into pool rooms looking to find all the people betting $500-$2,000 sets every night and wondering where our "list" is.
Found this:
For the week of May 31 - June 6, 2015, TNT was the highest rated cable network with an average of 1.473 - followed by USA (1.178), HBO (1.129), Discovery (0.826) and Spike (0.727).
Unscripted Shows:
1. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (VH1) - 1.537
...
123. Chasing Classic Cars (Velocity) - 0.080
The Hustlers (TruTV) - 0.080
Junkyard Empire (Velocity) - 0.080
...
129. Unusually Thicke (Pop) - 0.027
Ouch and the red color says in danger of being cancelled basically. I hope that's not so true...Our internal numbers are a bit better than this

It says that this site uses the 18-49 numbers, while sometimes the networks will look at live + delayed/taped numbers, which might explain the difference you see.

are these 3 bolded shows shown back-to-back? could be the reason they have the exact same stats.
Chasing Classic Cars is Mon @ 7
Junkyard Empire is Wed @ 8
thanks for the help - forget that theory!
So what shows are before & after hustlers & what were their ratings?
(isn't it some porn stars show that precedes)
If they view the 18-49 age bracket, they are likely missing quite a bit of viewers. Many pool fans are over 50.
I watched every episode online, I'm sure that is tracked but is not in the rating list.

I don't think there are any new shows before or after The Hustlers, which is what these numbers track.
thank you again for the legwork. and BTW it was PAWN Stars.... (Freudian slip)
maybe MikeyFrost can get the producers to come here & answer? it'd be interesting to know the viewership stats, and increase/decline per week, especially in contrast to its two surrounding established shows'.
or maybe they could do an ABR interview? surely Mr Bond has contacted them.
