Does anyone know how the show is doing for ratings? or how many people are watching it?

Thanks,

Thanks,

That's a great question. Would like to know myself.
I would gander the initial ratings are respectable, due to the novelty of the show.

I personally have watched only two of the episodes.
To be honest though, I have already lost interest.

Don't get me wrong: I enjoy the raw interplay between the players and
the intermittent interviews that helps viewers to stay focused on the backstories,
during the show, but I find that as a pool purist, the
"barking" gets old.
It's as if I want the players to get down to business and throw
down a serious race to 11.

I hope that many non-pool players (pool players alike) beg to differ.

Nonetheless, I support the show and hope it continues to run; Lord knows we need the exposure.

The show is probably exactly what a non-player would imagine a pool hall to be like among the gamblers, so I'm guessing it is getting a good share of non-players that are interested.

I'm waiting for the first mass of people to start going into pool rooms looking to find all the people betting $500-$2,000 sets every night and wondering where our "list" is.

Had to chuckle over that one...yeah, high betting sets? Snicker...and a list? Nope...
Not so many hot babes either. But it is NY, so I suppose....

Ouch and the red color says in danger of being cancelled basically. I hope that's not so true...Our internal numbers are a bit better than this

It says that this site uses the 18-49 numbers, while sometimes the networks will look at live + delayed/taped numbers, which might explain the difference you see.

Does anyone know how the show is doing for ratings? or how many people are watching it?

The first episode generated a Nielsen rating of 0.12 (this is just the first run and does not include any Live +7 numbers). This is pretty much in line with what most billiards programming does from the numbers I've seen in the past few years.

If they view the 18-49 age bracket, they are likely missing quite a bit of viewers. Many pool fans are over 50.

I watched every episode online, I'm sure that is tracked but is not in the rating list.

are these 3 bolded shows shown back-to-back? could be the reason they have the exact same stats.

Sad to say, but the big advertisers don't care about anyone over 50...except the pharma companies. By the time you're 50 years old, you've chosen the brands you prefer...and no amount of advertising is going to change that. The beer companies say they don't target any underage drinkers but that's who they really want -- to establish a brand preference from the git-go.

thanks for the help - forget that theory!
so what shows are before & after Hustlers & what were their ratings?
(isn't it some Porn Stars show that precedes)

I don't think there are any new shows before or after The Hustlers, which is what these numbers track.

thank you again for the legwork. and BTW it was PAWN Stars.... (Freudian slip)
maybe MikeyFrost can get the producers to come here & answer? it'd be interesting to know the viewership stats, and increase/decline per week, especially in contrast to its two surrounding established shows'.

or maybe they could do an ABR interview? surely Mr Bond has contacted them.

The Hustlers is preceded and followed by Hardcore Pawn.

I really thought the ratings would be much higher at the beginning.

Well, can't ask for too much I suppose.
With numbers like those, I don't think the show will go past one season.
But, hell, they're trying and that's what's important.

I like the idea that they're streaming it as well.

I still hope many of you aren't thinking this show will "get 'em in the pool rooms."
All it's going to do is feed the pool player stereotype, which we obviously don't need.

I'll have numbers in the next couple hours on ratings and let you guys know if we're doing good or bad.

I watched the first 4 episodes online last week. I went in with low expectations and after an episode or two, I was like "this ain't too terrible". But after the 3rd and 4th, the show had pretty much runs in course with me and I find that I'm just not that interested in what happens next. Basically, the manufactured drama of the show is just enough for me to disengage, but is probably not enough to keep casual viewers that this show is probably meant to attract. Too much for players, and not enough for the keeping up with the Kardashian crowd. I appreciate the effort, but I'll be surprised if this one lasts much longer.
