After watching the Finnegan interview and the posts that Frost made, I'm enjoying the show quite a bit more than I did during the first few episodes.

Hearing it explained how they do the filming and re-takes of some shots explains the jumping around in position on the table. Having watched live pool so much, it was really strange to watch a "reality" show where the games were edited and re-shot, which I think was one of the main issues people had with the show. Outside of the fake top players list.

I'd love to see the show visit other areas, that would really get people watching it. Imagine if they went into some room in Chicago or Boston and looked to match up with players there, the rooms will be filled with railbirds and it will get more people watching it. I mean who really cares what some people in NY do, you just want to say that your city players can take on their players and if they start showing up in different places, I would bet the viewership numbers will go up as people wait for the show to hit their town.
 
I enjoy the show. some funny characters.

I have noticed how some balls will change mid rack, from super pro's to centenials. Always on the zoomed in shots...
 
I've liked it since the beginning. I try to take it as being in "TV land". Reality shows are never real anyway. Great show with great people. Hope it carries on.
 
I just take it for what it is....the show is obviously not for people like us, really into pool. It's for the casual viewer. It's entertainment, that's all. My daughters, ages 10 and 11 really LOVE the show and are always playing pool now. Before the show was on, I'd ask them to play with me and they'd decline. Now, I wake up to them doing drills and races to 5!!!

I think a lot of it is the fact that they see woman who can really play well. They pretend to be different characters on the show....it's really cute! Either way, it's spark their interest and I have zero complaints!

Okay, so I diss' d the crap outta the show the first few episodes. It was
over-the-top Non Pool Related (my view) in the beginning and nothing
more than a low-grade Rocky Sequel.
I now look forward to new episodes, purely for "entertainment", and
starting to warm up to many of the characters. I've liked Jennifer and
Greg from the beginning and Mike D. is likable. O'Callahan is nothing
more than a bully and would to "taken behind the barn" for etiquette
training if he showed up in many Nor-Cal pool rooms.
I will also admit that I am more likely to get off the couch and go hit
some balls after watching the show. The type of Pool related TV
Show I would Really enjoy would never sell to the general public.
I wish them good rolls and a long, successful run on TV.

I agree! We could all nitpick it to death, for sure. However, I think it's not meant for us that live and breath this game. My brother in law hates fishing and anything outdoors related but he loves those fishing reality shows? Huh?

I'll watch the show and notice every little thing they messed up on. Obvious retakes and botches. But, I hafta remember the average joe isn't going to notice or care.

It's pretty huge that I watch this show, because I rarely watch TV unless it's an NHL game. I like very few shows on TV. That being said, I love this show!
 
People are finally understanding to watch it like a tv show and not a documentary lol the characters are enjoyable to root for and against and that's what you need for an interesting show.

Yes the show is moving to Atlantic City and they will be playing some pros and top notch players from the Philly area. I can't wait for this episode. Should be a winner.
 
Anyone know what the ratings have been like? Hoping it gets renewed for another season

I think many were hoping it to be real Hustleing not scripted and edited , some accepted it and just watch it as a TV show and those who wanted real pool went back to streaming

I really like the show for what it is, and have since it aired. It's good entertainment and the actual pool is shown in an engaging, audience participle way - which is what's required for "non pool players" to watch.

My wife would rather eat broken glass than watch a classic Jimmy Carras match, but she loves this show. Now she goes to the pool hall with me regularly AND my 15 year old daughter comes along quite a bit as well.... a 15 year old girl going with her parents to hang out is just bizarre, but she loves pool now, after watching the show with us.

I think that Hang-the-9 made a really good point about taking it on the road being a good thing and expanding the road trips expressly for the purposes of audience engagement.
 
I think it's fairly entertaining. I DVR the episodes and watch them at later times. It's not serious pool, it's a TV show and take it for what it is. Exposure for the game.
 
I like that some of my non pool player friends have watched and said the like the show and are watching it on the regular now!!! The show is a bit tiresome at times (I fast foward anytime Amy is on...) but other than that, it is enjoyable. I don't care how fake it is.
 
I've really enjoyed it since the beginning. Wish there were more than two episodes left. Don't really get all the hate for Amy. She adds a little spice to the show. Plus, she's pretty hot. I'd like to work on my stroke with her.....
 
How well do you think they will do against outside competition?
