I am a Harriman fan, but that has to be the biggest blowout of the entire tournament!

Earl really must have been on fire....

That was something. We've seen Thorsten play matches where it looked like he'd never miss a break shot (let alone any other shot). But in this match with Mika he faced break shots 5 times and missed 3 of them. And all 3 were with the object ball to the side of the rack, although with 2 of those 3 the OB was closer to the rack than would be ideal.
 
Darren A wins a close one against the 17 year old German Filler. 150-134. This kid can play. A couple of fouls did him in. Remember the name Joshua Filler. We will see great things from him.

150-138. Filler made 4 balls in the last rack before the ill-fated carom/ticky.

Did anyone else realize Appleton was on a foul at the end of the game there, when the kid took that flier? He could have and should have taken a scratch by just touching the CB instead of going Looney Tunes on that last shot. Too bad.

Yup. Or pushing the CB somewhere else. Foiled by youthful hubris or just forgetfulness?
 
What a great tournament. Truly great players in the sport. I hope that we can buy some dvd's of the matches some time down the road.

Should be some great matches tomorrow. The finals on sunday......300. When someone hits 150 they can take a 30 minute break

The chart just has a blank for Gomez rather than a zero, so I don't know. However, that's the game in which Orcollo ran 152 and out, so zip for Gomez is certainly possible.
 
Orcollo ran 152-out and made poor Roberto sit and watch the whole time? That's not fair at all... where are the alternate-break police when we need them?
